Hello friends. I decided to watch the Madoka movies over the last two days and cried like a bitch. They were very good. I didn't really understand Homura when I first watched it 6-ish years ago but now I realise she's literally me.
I also got a note to pick up something from the post office tomorrow. There's no tracking information. It's either the thing from AliExpress (and they gave a fake tracking number on the website), a gift from my hime-sama, or a mystery third thing that I cannot think of. I'm kind of scared to pick it up, just in case it makes me cry a lot...
I'd better head to bed soon.

>>83611156
>Hope you're at least getting some sleep
Usually at least 4 hours. It could be worse.
>being hurt by feelings you can't shake or being very apathetic to the idea of those types of feelings being real
For as much pain as I'm in, I'd rather have the first.
>most likely the correct when you zoom up enough with mistakes made
Most couriers don't disclose their error rate, but I vaguely remember that it's in the sigle-digit percents. That seems way too high.
>I've been on the fence about getting a gun. One of these days, just not exactly cheap
I think if I lived in America I'd probably try to get one, unless I lived in a particularly crime-free area.

glad you see it that way.

>Going through life I've not had too many which is probably why I'm so prone to it.
i feel you. i've been alone with my thoughts of inadequacy for so long now that i can't really accept if someone tells me the opposite.

>I'm grateful either way!
that means a lot. (^-^)

>>83611156
>has to be from that one Harvard business program that people pay to say they went there but never actually studied there!
seriously? higher education is a fucking scam...

>nope strictly linear visual novel in that sense. But it's fine, i like them, just not very much in terms of replay ability.
i suppose that's why they're called visual novels. i had fun with ai: somnium files, but i still struggle with the concept. i guess it's just another way to tell a story.

>>83611255
>what game was that??
it was called project: re fantasy during development and that turned into metaphor: re fantazio. you can still find some of the old concept art online. i'm still so fucking pissed about the whole thing.

>i wouldn't mind trying nier is school style....
to each their own, i suppose. ^^

>i could physically not stomach doing evil stuff in games. Even if it's a game. I could never play evil path in RPG's and just straight up could never really get into GTA period because I felt uncomfortable with the concept.
i'm the same in that regard. the glorification of crime in gta never sat right with me and i usually play the good guy. the devs of dispatch also complained that most people chose to do that too and how disappointed they were. shows how out of touch with their audience video game devs are these days.

>Would explain ths pissyness but who knows
i guess. that's why you should write characters you love to hate, not ones you actually hate. another good example is pacifica northwest from gravity falls. alex hirsch had a very hard time to understand why people wanted more of her in the show.

Hallo /cat/.
>>83611499
>How are you doing today?
Pretty bad. I got work offers, but I've had a hard time communicating with employers to actually confirm an interview. Also theres a gash in my forearm down to the fat layer, a result of me slashing my arm open by accident on some ceramic.
>Any plans for today?
Lying around and doing nothing, the stitches in my arm make it annoying to workout and game. At best I'll get some reading done.
>When was the last time you hurt yourself?
December.
>Why did you hurt yourself?
Anxiety over passing college.
>Is there anything bothering you right now?
Not really, no. Once my arm heals and the employers email me back I'll have nothing to be down about.

I'm gonna start namefagging cause imagelimits are annoying + I'm running out of pictures.

Hallo yuanon
>the glorification of crime in gta never sat right with me and i usually play the good guy
I think the appeal is less inflicting pain or being cruel, and more just the exhilaration of trying to get away with it when the punishment falls on you. Whenever I play new vegas I like doing a character where I'm hated by everyone, being on the run constantly with NCR and Legion death squads on your tail is fun and adds new ways to roleplay. Or in games like half life or Halo it's fun seeing your allies turn on you and the dialogue that comes with you being an asshole.
>>83612498
Girls last tour!!!! Also you've played basically all the good ones, interested in alyx but VR is a ways away for me.

>Whenever I play new vegas I like doing a character where I'm hated by everyone
a challenge can be fun, but i always prefer to be more reasonable. guess i was evil in witcher 3, since i supported nilfgaard, but that's usually the extend of how far i'm willing to go in a narrative i'm invested in.

>it's fun seeing your allies turn on you and the dialogue that comes with you being an asshole
it's always nice to see the devs going out of their way and include these things instead of hitting you with a game over screen because you had fun wrong.

sounds like you're in a very difficult spot right now. i won't argue against the way you see yourself, but i want to add that people don't see us we see ourselves. honestly, i don't really care about or judge other people's bodies as harshly as i judge my own.

sure the number is probably in theory worse than their estimates just the number of packages that disappear and no one even reports. Most package thefts from drivers hinge on the hopes recipients are elderly people who don't even know how to track or check for packages

it's sounds absurd, but it's a real think a friend of mine went on a rant about. People who don't do research will see it and eat it up still
> why they're called visual novels
I mean there's more gameplay to danganronpa than some visual novels, just not very much and it's still main appeal just playing the story

i've heared about similar courses here. you basically pass automatically and it's more of a place to network. just have to be able to afford it.

>People who don't do research will see it and eat it up still
i wonder if we'll ever be able to have an economy based entirely on facts at this point when so much of the education process is completely fabricated nonsense.

>there's more gameplay to danganronpa than some visual novels
ah, ok. wasn't sure about that. i think a also mix it up with the zero escape games. i watched some let's plays of those back in the day.

>this is made by spike chunsoft too apparently but hadn't heard of this
i had a great time with the first one. check it out if you feel like it. bought the second one without hesitating and absolutely hated every minute i forced myself to play it. they changed the main characters and the way they treated the protagonist of the first game made me absolutely furious. should have done my research. :p

>That's quite the change.
one way to put it... i don't think i would have had such a negative reaction to it if they'd have communicated the change in art direction at some point during the 7 years i waited for this game. i didn't take it very well that they promised me one thing and then delivered the conplete opposite

>I feel with the monstrosity that is VtM Bloodlines 2 so it happens
whatever happened to that? i remember liking the first one, but that also was a very long time ago...
>>
>>83612910
>i think GTA it's fine since it appeals to the lowest denominator of gamers
sure. people enjoy the spectacle of it. that's fine. it's a very polished sandbox game that does a great job with their presentation. just not my cup of tea, so i avoid it.

>anything past that people are going to think how think they would choose in that case, so it makes sense
i think it depends a lot of how invested people are in the story and characters. more often than not it just feels out of character to chose the bad option or be evil in the context of the story or world.
>>
>>83612969
>would be interested to see what happens as that gets animated now
sometimes they can reign it in and change it a bit to make it less egregious for the show and sometimes they just let the trainwreck happen completely unfiltered. there's no brakes on the production train.

My understanding is this is literally paying for a bs credential. At least what you're describing has networking involved. Paying for networking can at least sort of sound justified in practice

published by same people, but quite different. I've had these recommended to me, but there quite a bit more serious and thoughtful. Less anime, whereas danganronpa being stupidly anime-esque is a good chunk of the point.

why it's best not to get excited about games in development hell... Case and point below...
>whatever happened to that?
it came out and it was shit. Development hell, redesigned multiple times. Project lead changed, developer changed, entire type of game it was changed. It was barely and RPG in the end. First one was great, one of my favorite games. Janky mess when it came out I've heard and need tons of patchy, but it was fun and had meaningful decisions and mechanics.

One of the more off-putting versions of this I've seen was in Modern Warfare. There's a level where you need to clear a house of some suspect, and in one of the rooms you find a mom and their kid. Firing on them will cause the game to boot you out and chastise you for being a bastard. It's a little eerie almost.

not great. went to work as usual, but at somepoint my coworker noticed that her purse was gone and she started to panic that it got stolen (again), so we checked the video footage and it indeed was stolen. guy crawled behind the counter and snatched it. issue was that not only her wallet and keys was in there, but the keys to the store as well. needless to say she was quite stressed about the whole situation and i had to make up for her being distressed. just a lot going on today.

pretty much. Lot of reasons people end up doing such things, but most boil down to this

>>83613510

>weekends sooooon

easy going as ever. Thought haven't gotten to walk him in a bit since the weather and being busy. Feel bad about that, but doesn't seem to mind

damn. you go hard. ^^

>this is literally paying for a bs credential. At least what you're describing has networking involved.
networking in the sense of meeting people at the place you get your bs credential from, so you know who's in the same financial social class as you

>not anytime soon
guess it all has to crash again before it can get better.

>published by same people
that's how you do it. have something for everyone.

>Less anime
boo!

>danganronpa being stupidly anime-esque is a good chunk of the point.
at least they know their audience and cater to them.

>why it's best not to get excited about games in development hell...
yeah. point taken. aftet that and silksong i think i'm done waiting for games.

>it came out and it was shit.
that's a quote almost all games that come out can print on their box ^^

>Development hell, redesigned multiple times. Project lead changed, developer changed, entire type of game it was changed. It was barely and RPG in the end.
sounds familiar. dragon age comes to mind. that series got absolutely obliterated.

>First one was great, one of my favorite games
it had a lot of things going for it that games struggle to implement properly even today.

>Janky mess when it came
yeah. on my playthrough i got a bug that stopped me from putting on any other outfit than the starting one. made it a bit harder than it needed to be.

>it was fun and had meaningful decisions and mechanics.
it was fun arguing with that stop sign.

>these i just couldn't get into for reasons I mentioned
doesn't matter how good the game is when you get filtered. i always knew that the god of war games are good, but i never was able to get over my dislike of kratos as a character. sucks to be me.
>>
>>83613652
>I feel like we're years past anime original endings for the most part. At least for mainstream stuff. For better and worse
the summer hikaru died changed a lot when it came to the introduction of the characters. i suppose the author took some advice from her editors and the studio. i think it works better for the pacing show, but also changes the feel of it slightly. nothing as big as a completely different ending, but it stood out to me.

now that i think about it, i tried being a sith in kotor 2 and as far as i remember that went absolutely nowhere. like the story didn't have a conclusion at all if you do that. it just ends and that's it. maybe that had an impact on how i play games like that.

>Firing on them will cause the game to boot you out and chastise you for being a bastard. It's a little eerie almost.
strange. was that before or after the game where you shoot up an airport? either way, don't put options in your game and get pissy when people take them.

I think it's a cool decision actually, even if it's just to wag then finger at the player of being a psycho. Most games don't give you the option to fuck this up to begin with (for good reason).

travel update. i almost threw up in the uber to the airport which was not auspicious but then the plane and getting to the hotel were okay. today i saw my grandfather and his wife who hates me. and that's not anxiety talking the first thing she said to me was a passive aggressive comment about my hair. i spent all day tired/grumpy/hungry okay whatever that's life that's travel. but for dinner they got this stuff with really weird sauces i didn't like and my reaction was so bad that i think i might actually have arfid like some kind of eating disorder level problem. i felt scared like Scared and hypervigilant and spiraled about being a useless fucking child who can't eat normal people food. i kept it together so i wouldn't ruin the visit but was really miserable. ran back to the hotel room to doordash fucking mcdonalds chicky nuggies like the worthless immature piece of shit retard that i am. today feels like an r/kitchencels post.

i think most of us that are habitual cutters don't feel pain or fear like you do. it's the end stage of severe deterioration of the mind. just be grateful for your human heart. if you want a thrill, go for a walk out on the winter night. it really helps clear your mind. my worst psychotic episodes are always in summer cause the winter chill helps so much with a healthy mind. if you don't hold onto your emotions, you start to lose them. you don't want to live without fear.

Especially if it's unusual compared to what you normally eat. Don't be hard on yourself for it either way, only make things worse

> do you have any plan now?
might be going to the casino. Sounds questionable, but I don't have a problem stopping that sort of thing. I just it fun and like the atmosphere
>how does the GPA system work in the states
Sure, so we have letter grades that correspond to % points. A >= 90, B >= 80, C >= 70, D >= 60, 60 > F.
With GPA each also has a point value associated with it A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D =1, F = 0. Max number of points is 4 per course. In simplest terms assuming everything is worth the same number of credits, you divide by courses your points to get GPA. 2 B's and 2 A's gives a 3.5 because (4+4+3+3) / 4 = 3.5. If you have different credits per course (like the B is in a 4 credit course but A is in a 2 credit course) you have to do a weighted GPA so you take into consideration different courses are worth more than others in the calc.

>>83616281
>Somehow managed to sleep through all the construction

honestly, I know you're looking out for signs on how things are, but I think is just a feeling. Imaging the worst when not in contact to try to find a reason to reach out. I think that happens in situations like this. Just try to not let it get too much ahold of you

This is why I don't like ordering expensive stuff from amazon, but other sellers. Not to encourage suicide, but killing yourself by overdose is really inneffective and almost always gets caught and sent to hospital and saved. Especially if you dont currently live alone it really is not a great plan and to be extremely harsh is a pathetic way to go if you have to drug yourselves to the heavens and have an extremely delayed death you dont want to die. no amount of that is going to kill you painlessly anon. Honestly, taking pills like that is horrifically painful and most likely going to make you regret the decision fairly quickly. I'd strongly advise against this. My ex attempted to OD twice while I knew her (and a few times before I knew her). To be completely honest I do still wish we'd get back together, but I don't think talking would convince her unless she also wanted it. Either way I think we need to talk and establish boundaries and expectations of each other because that has to be much healthier than whatever we're doing now.

i don't think you'd find a way to do things that there is no risk in regards to. I understand the feeling of being tired to the point of not wanting to live, but the fact you're afraid of the options suggests you should probably try to figure out how to make do best you can. Know that's not a great answer and not trying to lecture, but just say how it is.

I figured as much. And yeah, ultimately it is both person's decision. If she's not open, not a lot you can do. I don't think it's the kind of thing people can or should be convinced of if they're not in for it.

glad to hear. Some areas are just always prone to issues more than others. I'm kind of fortunate I live in one the few places in the US that never gets very severe weather. Very unfortunate to see still since some areas down south especially always have horrific flooding

pretty much. coworker had her purse stolen (for the second time) and she was very upset about it, which is to be expected, but that meant i had to deal with the customers on my own for a while and we had to organize stuff like changing the locks for the store and talking to the police about it. today was way less stressful, though.

>danganronpa fans are the worst of the worst, but it is a series that lends itself to insanity
at least it wears it on it's sleeve. not like it's easy to predict which ips draw in a crowd like that. if i had to, stuff like sonic and mlp wouldn't have come to mind, but here we are.

>I still hold out hopes for when bethesda gets their shit together and makes next elder scrolls.
not exactly holding my breath for that one. i can't believe that they're still able to deliver anything comparable to skyrim in that regard. more than glad to choke on my words and have a good game instead, but it's hard to still give them the benefit of the doubt.

>it was downhill after the og. I liked 2 fine
yeah, the shift in art direction was a bit jarring, but gameplay and story were ok overall. inquisition was pure garbage and i didn't bother with anything after it.

>nosferatu had to play the game completely different from every other clan.
never thought about that before, but that's really something you just don't get anymore. maybe i should see if i can still get it somewhere.

>just meant had to be that much better at the game
it was frustrating at times, but i managed eventually. more because of tenacity and stubornness than skill, though.
>>
>>83617372
so back to my main point I guess
yeah. there's so many thing you miss out on if you only play a clan or two it's unreal, but the game also doesn't make you feel like you missed out at all. the worst game in that regard is the witcher 2. you miss half the game if you only do one playthrough.

>can't believe that they're still able to deliver anything comparable to skyrim in that regard
Honestly, I think they did fine with Starfield if it wasn't for the fact the scale was too big and lended itself too the procedurally randomized shit and it was just a terrible idea for an IP. The gameplay and feel was typical Bethesda work, it was just too boring to actually care about
>inquisition was pure garbage
shame since the art, decisions, and tone felt more like Origins than 2 did.. But the game itself was so bad. Think I played to the mage/templar decision(which was cool and felt something again fitting withing Origins in terms of weight) but couldn't save a bad game
>maybe i should see if i can still get it somewhere.
should be on both steam and gog. Making me want to play more I think about it but I've got enough to play for now. Just nothing else like it
>>
>>83621066
>you miss half the game if you only do one playthrough.
that's another game that I wanted to play, but just couldn't get around to. I think playing witcher 3 put me at a disadvantage even I usually get into older games easily
>were there any pacing issues?
They had season 3 just come out and literally nothing happened the first half and the second was fixated mostly on characters nobody cared about. 12 episode season that felt like nothing happened till the last episode. Apparently this is a big manga issue people say ruins it, but they did nothing to try to make it bearable even though there's more source material that they could of tried to speed up rather than adapt bad manga 1 to 1
>, but it wasn't that bad, i think
not at all, but I was very very young at the time lol
> fuckef something up and got a shit ending or something like that
nah, game was just unfinished a time before they could just go back and patch the ending in later on.

yeah, i suppose i'm lucky that the area i live isn't that prone to flooding or other things, there was very very minor damage but that was about it. that being said even here it flooded a few years ago, so I don't think we can consider any place truly out of reach.

you never know what you stumble into and what sticks. glad you found something that helps you vent a little.

>they'll find a way to only hire their snobbish friends either way
nepotism... finds a way.

>thank you for reminding me there are fandoms that disturb me even more lol
at least with stuff like danganronpa you expect it, but the older the ip and the younger people get into it, the weirder it can get. not that there's anything particularly wrong with it in my perspective, it's just not something i'm drawn to at all.

>it was just a terrible idea for an IP.
all said and done, this might be the biggest issue. when you say fallout or elder scrolls, at least that conjures an image in my head, but when it comes to starfield my mind is just empty. and there's nothing that compels me to change that. i was never that much into bethesda as a publisher, though. that might explain it.

>The gameplay and feel was typical Bethesda work, it was just too boring to actually care about
yeah. if you've seen one it's just more of the same. without interesting quests, stories and characters there's not much to care about.

>But the game itself was so bad
it's been so long i can't even put a finger on why it was. just that it felt like a single player mmo. the world was just so big and empty.

>the mage/templar decision(which was cool and felt something again fitting withing Origins in terms of weight)
i can't say i remember that, either. what was it about again? whatever it was, templar all the way. i don't agree with the idea that people with tremendous powers like that should ever go unchecked what bothered me the most was that i never got to see the black city. all that talk about it and then... nothing. the game just ends.

>I've got enough to play for now. Just nothing else like it
true, true. i just got a bunch of games i should actually play. ^^'
>>
>>83621401
>I think playing witcher 3 put me at a disadvantage even I usually get into older games easily
it's still worth it, i'd say. you just need to know you have to do both sides to get the full picture. linking back to the "devs not understanding their audience"-point. i just couldn't get myself to side with the scoia'tel after my experiences with them in the first game, so i never did, completely missing out. i think the devs recognized that was a mistake and didn't do anything like that again.

>They had season 3 just come out
ah. haven't watched that. not sure if i will, since i'm not subscribed to crunchyroll anymore.

>there's more source material that they could of tried to speed up rather than adapt bad manga 1 to 1
hm. odd they still went with the faithful adaptation if it's that bad. it's weird that there's always a caveat when you want to recommend a series these days. watch until epsiode/season xyz, skip this and that. don't bother after that point. can't things just be good for once?

>but I was very very young at the time lol
i suppose i was in my too-cool-for-school-phase at that time. if i ever had anything like that at all. :p

this precisely. I thought I'd get annoyed moving up in difficult, but not at all. Actually got pretty decent, but man it does make my thumbs sore. Can only manage a few in a row on hardest difficulties
>it's just not something i'm drawn to at all.
suppose i wouldn't talk all about if not for the fact the pony people can be very in your face about it. But then again, I liked Umamusume, which makes me uncomfortably closer to them than I was previously in a way D:
>when it comes to starfield my mind is just empty.
precisely. TES lore is so built out that it's impossible not have an interesting world to explore with their typical formula. Same with Fallout and the combination of real world landmark, zany 50s meets nuclear wasteland aesthetic. They want really hard on making a realistic sci fi universe, and I don't think that works well for them. Just too boring
>without interesting quests
which I saw they still tried to produce the way they did in the past. Why I saw I have hope they're not that bad as a developer, since I think if Starfield wasn't so boring the work they did would bad been fine, just working with the subset of what they could do was lackluster
>felt like a single player mmo.
that's it to a T. Less dialogue with side characters, less cities, more empty barren maps.
>>
>>83621732
>>83621857
> what was it about again?
basically decide the fate of either one. Templars get completely wrecked if you don't happen or mage rebellion ends up getting turned into demons, impacts enemies encountered after. I just saw because Dragon Age 2 had zero decisions quite like this.
>don't agree with the idea that people with tremendous powers like that should ever go unchecked
as they show repeatedly that mages turn out to be assholes who screw up time after time constantly in the series.
> never got to see the black city.
would have at least justify those damn fade sections. Apparently 2 was the only game that didn't have the fade, so actually bumps it up more than I gave it credit for
> scoia'tel after my experiences with them in the first game
see that's the thing with starting at 3 and having no background before, had no idea who the hell any of those people were.
>not sure if i will
nothing of value lost. Saitama wasn't even in most of the damn episodes. It's one thing to not have him win in one episode, dude didn't even show up

you'd think something inspired by series like babylon 5, star trek or battlestar galactica and the like would have been a better fit for them. mass effect used the formula quite well and it worked like a charm.

>I have hope they're not that bad as a developer
i didn't think that bioware could crash and burn the way it did either. not what i'm hoping for to happen to bethesda weeeell, maybe a little bit..., but they need to deliver something really good for a change.

glad it wasn't a long wait
> are you feeling better now?
yeah, but long day with work. More and more problems that just drag on lately. Not bad to be useful though
> i don't know how accepted it is outside my region
I think it's dubiously accepted many places. US has had a lot of back and forth on it, but a lot of places it's legal. Has the ability to destroy lives sadly, I just like the games, so treating it like I would an arcade where you can potentially walk away with money is fine attitude to have for me.
> like it's not very difficult for students
the experience of most people. Even being very good at studying isn't that critical, it's much less challenging than many other countries.
>what are the bad points in the curriculum of the states?
I have a hard time, since I didn't go to public school like most kids growing up, but Catholic schools. So my education was much different than what most students went through.
I'd probably say American students tend to do worse on math and science than a lot of foreign students. It balances out a bit since I think writing and critical thinking skills can be emphasized more than some places. I say can since I know my school had it and it's a hallmark of western education, but modern education system isn't too good with it, but suppose no one really wants everyone thinking critically

yeah, they might be doomsday-level threats that could easily be manipulated and possesed by demons, but the templars are meanies sometimes...

>those damn fade sections.
i don't mind the concept, but the execution was handled... poorly.

>had no idea who the hell any of those people were.
i'm not even sure that just playing the games would get you there. sure, you'd know a lot more about his group of friends and certain other player, but for the bigger picture you'd need to read the books, too. also a universe where the only good wizard is one with a blade at their throat at all times. my main reason for siding with nilfgaard, actually. emhyr is the only one who gets that. bless him. i hate wizards...

>but suppose no one really wants everyone thinking critically
that's a point too lmao
i don't know how are things there but i noticed here that you can easily find good students that aren't really something interesting when it's not about studying or normal interests like football
what i'm trying to say is, and maybe i'm wrong cuz i didn't have enough social connection with them anyways, that not all of them think "critically" (that's not necessarily a problem i'm just talking about critical thinking) and that's not their fault, it's just that the curriculum isn't the best for building a critical mind. and obviously there are critical students too, i'm just talking about some of them. students here are like trying to survive, not having a good grade can directly affect your life, and to get a good grade you should torture yourself, the smallest mistakes can decide how much you will pay for university, can decide where will the university be, and at the end it can hurt you mentally so easily.

can't blame anyone for that, just wish some were a bit better at reading when people are quite comfortable with something
>one of us!
slippery slope.
>would have been a better fit for them
I respect their decision for what they wanted to do, since they really wanted story about humans in space and stuck to their guns with that, I just think it doesn't work for very exciting world building, which their formula really requires to be successful since finding new stuff is half the enjoyment of a bestheda game
> bioware could crash and burn
I think they had a progressive slope though. Dragon Age 2 was the beginning, Mass Effect 3 had a lot of bad parts to it, Inquisition had redeeming aspects but was not good, and everything after was utter shit. I still see Bethesda as making decent games, just bad decisions that I think being in the right IP itself could hopefully carry. I'll say, I'm one of the people who didn't like Skyrim as much despite enjoying it quite a bit. We shall see when Todd gets it together and gets it out finally
>shows how bad being boring really is
there was a very involved side quest line involving uniting bickering farmsteads on distant cluster of planets to fight off space pirates together that captures this well. It was a varied and decent idea for random side content, but still came off as so boring since everything is fighting space pirates. I want the Oblivion quest with the ogre stealing muffins or town that got turned invisible by an angry mage

yeah I mean all gambling. Card games, roulette, slots, etc. I like card games like poker and such. Gambling is legal in quite a few states actually. It used to be more rare, but attitudes have changed drastically, especially since it makes a lot of money for states that have it
>what's taught in catholic schools?
I'm pretty sure it's similarish, only we had religion classes as well, so maybe less elective choices. I just don't know how different it was since it was what was normal for me and I know for sure there are differences, just not sure how many
>curriculum isn't the best for building a critical
part of the problem is education is emphasized on developing skills to be a "good member of society" which translates to good worker. We don't like deep philosophy or logic, since those things can make you a bad worker who asks questions that shouldn't be asked or sees through propaganda. Usually that kind of thinking should be for the elites, which is why more expensive schools will focus more on classical education which can develop those thought patterns

I don't think she's bad for acting like this, I think it just might be confusing for her as well how she means to act. It is the case with a lot of mental health issues. I think best you can do is try to understand that and be patient to degree you can, expecting as little as possible in the meantime for your own sanity
>Any particularly amusing stories

interesting. There are quite a few people who irl would say better to experience than not to the literal extreme. Sure if it was possible to survive such things irl many do it. Hell, I suppose there's plenty of people who do actually want to experience things still even knowing they won't survive, so case in point

this is, to be fair, every single bethesda game, so kind of par for the course. back when OG Mass Effect came out, someone at Fox heard there was porn in a video game and made a big fuss. >doesn't that sound dangerous tho?
it's dangerous for individuals who can't quit, which I suppose can lead to very bad repercussions if a lot of people are in turn addicted. I feel like a lot would probably make these poor decision either way or go somewhere they can. Really benefit at state level is raising a lot of money off it. I've heard some poorer states have made huge improvements to education thanks to casino revenue. Not sure what truth there is to it exactly, but I've heard some skeptics convinced
> how can one find a country that respects a mind

you pick starting class with specialization of skills and attributes that factor to base starting stats in addition to race, whereas Skyim you start blank slate with no inherent disposition to anything particular except by token of race. You ever start with a few spells if a magic proficiency of the class is high enough. Raising skills increases multipliers to an attribute when you level up, and attributes played a role in everything from base stats, to movement speed, to how people liked you. Skyrim took those away simplifying gameplay a bit since some people hated having to plan character efficiently so it made it easier to not fuck up

I'm pretty sure I dreamed every time. They tend to be really vivid when that happens.

I feel like fictional characters happens not too infrequently for me.
>so the fact she got something is better
I feel bad because she loved her last job and she was good at it, but they couldn't afford to keep her on. That and the stress of having to move back home was enough to cut me off as a fucked up way of coping. Doesn't make any sense to me, but such is the BPD mind.

It's not much of a time investment at all, but also probably not something to go out of the way for unless you know nothing about it already, which is sort of hard how much it comes up. Was the first visual novel for a lot of people, so gets a boost from that I do like Monika a lot however

>but this is a pretty dangerous attitude to have.
I deserve to be in dangerous situation cause I'm a bad person you know what I mean I asked my teacher about it he said it is indeed not a good attitude think this way cause it will only lead to chaos
>Right now it doesn't too severe, but very easy to get carried away
Really? I didn't know I don't know if it just me or everyone else is like this everybody just lives without a care in the world without taking a look at their actions and what their doing you know
>get to the point you feel you deserve to suffer,
But I'm already wants to suffer and figure out a way to die I actually find the ideal method for killing myself I just need to know when the train comes just like renata kambolina, been reading this book called the complete manual of suicide really nice book
>Probably should try to channel this into something healthier
Like what or do what exactly
>isn't anything you like?
Hahaaha my friends always told me that I hate everything and get really angry about it but yes I do like some food but it just tastes really bad and I just regret eating it
>you ever tell anyone else this
Nobody just randos on 4chan and people I added from here on discord I always joke about killing myself but it's for fun
>doesn't sound like how it should be
How it is suppose to be then?
>where you head out to?
I'm home I don't have a phone and hate using phones i'm just on my desktop pc
>>
>>83636758
Oh I forget to add
>you ever tell anyone else this
Talking to strangers online is so much better and easy to approach or generally talk about anything without being judged or get in trouble I'm not doing any sus though in the internet my identity is hidden even though some people can still tell who iam through the way I text and my images here in 4chan but it doesn't matter I may shared way too much info but I feel safe here and in the internet

> I'm a bad person
why do you say this? No offense meant, but you're still quite young to the point you have little control over your life by the sound of it yet.
>without taking a look at their actions and what their doing you know
it is in fact what a lot of people do, I agree. A lot of people are excessively cruel and never think about it all, they just do things because it's easier.
> wants to suffer and figure out a way to die
just because you think you're bad or more to it? Sounds like you have friends at least...
>Like what or do what exactly
like, if you think you're a bad person and deserve to be hurt, try to be better in regards to what you're unhappy about. If you're aware something you're doing isn't ideal, you can change that usually.
>How it is suppose to be then?
hmm i'd say water should have a neutral taste, and shouldn't how everything tastes. Was it always like this or do you think you started feeling this way after some time?
>I'm home
ah but you said "just got home" I thought you went somewhere before and was asking how that was.
>>83636848
I understand. It's not pleasant to open up to people. Just concern is if there' a legitimate health concern you're going through, we can kind of voice concern, but do little other than that. Just don't want you to ignore if there's something serious.
>>
Unrelated, yesterday made this Finnish salmon soup recipe
https://food52.com/recipes/73800-lohikeitto-finnish-salmon-soup
Quite good even though I don't often eat salmon. First time I ever used leeks in cooking.

>>83636892
>I still have aome halloween crap standing around
it's funny because the christmas people take stuff down fast, but there are still people with some Halloween decorations up. Guess any time of year can be spooky if you want it to be
>what are you going to do with the extra space?
probably have it empty for now. Doesn't need to be filled. Easy to vacuum this way

about the same for me, but for me playing old Morrowind with mods again after caving due the conversation I was having yuanon about TES games

>so how are you going to spend the rest of your day?
Browsing 4chan I guess I'm talking to somebody right now on discord
>>83636911

cause Iam I'm horrible I did horrible stuff before I can't live with it. it's painful to live with bad things you did
>A lot of people are excessively cruel and never think about it all, they just do things because it's easier.
I know right it makes me sad but I can't think like that cause there is some good in this world still
but I can't think that way at the same time cause all my life is full of negativity at some point I started to get scared when something good happen to me or a have a nice day I feel something is wrong and not right and I feel like every other day will be shit and terrible shit will happen and it does happen
>just because you think you're bad or more to it?
yes
>Sounds like you have friends at least...
they are weird and I'm just done with hanging out with them all they do is talk about money and complain about future and shit like that and they only doomscroll through instagram which drives me crazy it's full of slop and cringe brainrot content and they always keep sending me that shit or just videos of dumb rich folks who flex all day
>try to be better in regards to what you're unhappy
Hmm that's actually a really good advice I will take into granted thank you so much
but I'm literally unhappy about everything I want to change it I'm totally lost and confused you know
>If you're aware something you're doing isn't ideal
True but I'm actually annoyed by all the stuff I did in the past and stuff that happens recently that turns into past you know
It's hard to make a change you know everything you say is true I know you are probably annoyed by me being like this I'm very sorry but I'm trying but shit is weird
>water should have a neutral taste

>I understand. It's not pleasant to open up to people.
So what should I do then?
I just want some random people to talk to me about anything other than my friends, I really like the idea of talking to people across the world and just see how they sound, what they do, what do they feel, what do they think and just learn about them you know I didn't get to go outside of my country and It's been years since I left my city
I want some change
>Just concern is if there' a legitimate health concern you're going through
I don't know I don't think I'm suicidal or depressed or anything I'm probably in a good condition mentally

Oh I get it wait so you anons are already recovered from the whole cutting and you just here to chill or what exactly? and you're right voicing concern is only thing you probably can do other than not much
>Just don't want you to ignore if there's something serious.
I'm not ignoring anything
also it can't really be helped either way cause what I'm i suppose to do ask help from parents? that's impossible
>>
>>83637137
> I did horrible stuff before I can't live with it.
don't want to bring up bad memories, but anything you can talk about here? If not too much. Sometimes things seem way worse to us than they do others
> all my life is full of negativity
I get it. I know personally I'm torn between wanting to see the best in things, but also realize this can be overly optimistic. There's a lot of bad things and putting too much trust in people being good can lead to getting taken advantage of since a lot of people are assholes. I'd say the proper attitude to accept the good and don't worry, but be prepared for the bad. How I try to live and think it helps prevent constant worrying
>all they do is talk about money and complain about future
sort of understandable, but yes. It is hard to talk to people sometimes when everything so superficial. If they're otherwise nice, I'd go easy on them at least. Better to have boring dependable friends, than interesting ones who act shitty.
>unhappy about everything I want to change it I'm totally lost and confused you know
I'd say start on one thing and focus on that, forget the rest. Once you make something you didn't like better off, can move on. Making little progress in at least something is key. Makes it easier to change more things as you feel you accomplished even something
>It's hard to make a change you know everything you say is true I know you are probably annoyed
no worries, I'm not. I used to be very hesitant to try to do things in the past myself as well and felt scared by it. But I think if you can get started on something it gets a little easier as you get more confidence
>>
>>83637183
>I want some change
nothing wrong with doing what you described. Meeting new people and maybe trying new things is probably what should focus on right now if you're not sure what else to do. Big part of figuring things out in life, especially if you feel unsure what you want to do.
>I don't know I don't think I'm suicidal or depressed or anything I'm probably in a good condition mentally
that's good. Just make sure you drink enough even if you don't like it. Getting enough water is one of the single best things you can do for your health.
> you anons are already recovered from the whole cutting and you just here to chill or what exactly?
It varies quite a bit. Some still do it and still struggle, some did it in the past but are either stopped/mostly stopped, and others hadn't done it at all and either need help with something else but like trying to help others out. I had a period in the past I did to a degree and struggled with a lot of negative/suicidal thoughts, but mostly in the past, though still have things weighing me down, but not as serious.
>I'm not ignoring anything
that's fine then. Just cautioning if there is an issue at any point not to

We should as humans never think about evil out there cause if we do we lost the bet you know we have always to think about the little good out there
>but yes. It is hard to talk to people sometimes when everything so superficial
it's not even superficial they just gossip, they don't have fun or play games, they shit talk everybody and make fun of me for no reason I got fed up of it and just left the server I don't know why I'm calling those cock suckers my friends they are not and never were it's only one but that one got encouraged to make fun of me because of them and always stand with them not me which I always say and tell him the right things but nobody listens to me
>Making little progress in at least something is key. Makes it easier to change more things as you feel you accomplished even something
I'm trying to study but I'm sucking so bad at it right now I don't even know how to start or what I should do I look at the text book and see my horrible hand writing and throw the textbook so hard out of rage and get really annoyed and I just stop doing it and whenever I study It gets more annoying cause most of the stuff I'm learning is complete bullshit and it's waste my time

It'd do you good to write this down on a journal. For me at least, seeing it on paper lets me read what I think from outside myself. lots of reasons people start. I have quite a lot of mods it's insane, but I'm playing one of the province mods. None completed, but I'm exploring the released parts of Cyrodil(setting from Oblivion) with my character. Quite fun just walk around exploring.

they do have quite a few. I'd even go down to level of justification, since if Monika's love wasn't directed at the player she would definitely be considered just as evil, but because that she gets a pass.... shoot, even looks and facial expressions. I think Monikas worse, honestly. You can explain away Makima's (they're names are pretty similar too...) behavior a bit by saying they are just in her nature as a devil + she viewed them as just in her mind. With Monika it's purely selfish, erasing reality and killing your classmates just to get with you. I think she even admits her wrong in the end, where with Makima she truly believed her cause.

>Monikas worse
interesting since think you're first I've seen say this, but I think I'd agree more with that than saying Makima is worse. Even her killing and using people, her status put her so much above everyone else it would be unthinkable not to see those beneath her as animals, whereas Monika is killing those who were supposedly her friends and were shown to have the same potential for intelligence that she had when Sayori becomes aware in the ending.

Fair enough. I made it to the end of chapter 3 yesterday so I've been enjoying it. The translated dialogue sounds really natural, and I enjoy the dynamic between the angel and kouki. The best part is that they aren't laying down the bl elements heavy (at least early on) which bad works tend to do.

kinda boring to go to a new galaxy to find almost nothing. It's like the same issue as with starfield, crappy world building because nothing is new or interesting

storywise, i think they wanted to try to explore a new galaxy and have the species from milky way be able to survive in case life got wiped out in the Milky Way. It sucks because it was mostly council races, so we didn't even get to see Quarians or Shepard's favorites, the Batarians

>why
This is a rant about TES lore but....
Bethesda has a bad tendency of retconning lore for convenience or design reasons. Dwemer is TES weren't supposed to be in Skyrim at all, but a different type of elves. They probably decided the Dwemer style offered more variety than Skyrim's native elf population from established lore and allowed them to shoehorn in steampunk elements. I personally would have been fine if they kept the ruins on the east side of the map at Morrowind border(which was where they were native) but making two distinct elven ruin tile sets obviously is a bit much
>replace them with fun quests instead
to this day, I don't know why they went from having 2 or 3 non-faction side quests per town that were good, to having everyone have "grab x from y ruin" instead.
> they aren't randomly generated
thought they were but i didn't play enough i guess

I think it's completing enough sleep cycles and hitting complete REM sleep, or what I heard. I think 8 hours is a sure way to reach that, but might be leeway for interruption if you still get the same completed cycles
>making it impossible for her to admit that and try to reconcile.

Hey anon o/
>deserve to suffer more.
why do you think like that?
I doubt you actually deserve it
>>
Can i just get the information I requesting? I don't want to talk about why I want to do this and you would not understand anyway. I just need to do it and need to have thicker scars.

Your smug ass anime bitch avatar flagging pictures isn't helping at all.
I don't want to kill myself, I just want to hurt and I don't want to bother explaining it to some random dude on r9k who uses judgemental anime girl images and avatarfags on a Mongolian basket weaving hobbies forum. You said you had a book but won't share it with me. Instead you'd rather post your waifus glaring. I am simply asking for information, not judgement.

I said before that I hate seeing people doing the whole self harming shit it hurts me to see people doing it
it's just a horrible act, why don't you just talk about it instead of doing it more or something
What's on your mind?
I know you don't want to explain to rando like me about but I'm just worried you know
I can you give you the book if you want but I don't think it will help it just defies the purpose of the this thread? no
Also I'm one who should suffer no you but me

yeah, it ok though. I got some more interviews lined up.
>Why did she reach out?
I think she just wants to spend more time with friends.
>sounds nice tell us how it goes when you're back
it went well. We just walked around with her cusions.

hi office anon
>Did you get feedback that was it?
not really. I think it's that I wasn't the best dressed.
>>83639218
hi gator
>at least you tried, and did it, more then most can do
I could've done better though. I know I didn't use everything avilable to me.

hi dis
>Kind of had that disjointed sleep again
hope you slept better today.
>always come off as some kind of giga-autist.

>>

Thank you so much
I'm free all today so it's nice
>>
Things were going well today but then I had another breakdown.
I don't really know how much longer I can keep this up for. Surely there will be a resolution soon...
I've calmed down now and I'm making pasta.

>>83643896
>thoughts get unpleasant and makes it harder to sleep
Why did we evolve to do this? Consciousness was a mistake, I think.
>really do seem to manage this quite a lot lo
It's happening a lot more often than I'm used to. A lot of my dreams are taking place in the same general area as well, I'm not sure what's going on there.
>I think it's completing enough sleep cycles and hitting complete REM sleep
That makes sense. I feel like I've not had any in a while. Hopefully I will soon because my brain needs a rest.
>maybe things will improve when if she's working again now and gets back into more normal routine
That's the hope. I'm sure she must miss me. Surely she can't keep it up for another three months...
>Quick way to get frostbite otherwise
Spoken like a true felon.

>>83643976
If it's any consolation you're doing no worse than me in that regard.

>>83644705
>hope you slept better today.
That is how I slept today. Hopefully tonight will be better.
> yeah, I might have sperged out just seeming out matched.
Oh well, there's always next interview. Eventually you'll come across as normal (enough).
>>
good morning, currently supposed to be at lunch lol

>>83640866
>Worrying too much won't help it and you might be surprised things aren't as bad as you worried

>>83642671
>disjointed sleep again
i hate everything about sleeping it's just the worst.
>What does your sleep schedule look like?

>>83644705
>know I didn't use everything avilable to me.
