Day 50 of attempting to watch a movie every day from a list of movies i compiled last year from /r9k/ /tv/ and tiktok.>list can be found herehttps://letterboxd.com/negamoth/list/2026-one-movie-a-day-list/>previous thread>>83939790Todays movie was The World's End (2013)I was entertained at the start of the movie, the whole thing about the main character being stuck in the past, literally peaked in high school while his old friends were all functioning adults, that was interesting on it's own and entertaining, but out of nowhere that twist about the aliens really caught me off guard, that was really cool and funny. i never would have imagined that the movie would take that direction, i thought it was gonna be about king learning to grow up into a responsible adult or something. It was a little weak towards the end when they were arguing with the AI alien thing, but then the post apocalyptic ending, that was an other cool little twist to the movie, i really liked this one. what a pleasant surprise.i gave this one a 4 out of 5 i'll be binging movies to try and get caught up since i'm missing a couple of movies. i'm gonna be watching movies tonight until i pass out, but i'll comment a little review in the thread when each movie ends. hopefully the thread lasts a while.

>>83972082i liked this better than hot fuzz, although i watched hot fuzz a long time ago, maybe i'm not remembering how much i liked it. but i do remember enjoying it.>>83972256well i'm glad to hear that.>>83971827movie 49 was maze runnerThe premise of this movie was cool and all the little reveals were actually pretty cool, like the fact that they had already mapped out the entire maze but they were keeping it a secret from all the other kids so that they wouldn't freak out about there not being an exit, that was a cool little detail of the story. i did think the movie was a little lame, but it wasn't so bad, it kept me entertained throughout i didn't get bored. The little plot twist at the end was hilarious though, such a cheesy movie, i'm assuming this movie has a sequel from that ending it was just so silly.i'll give this one a 3 out of 5next movie i'm going to watch in a minute is strawberry mansion which is the 40th movie on the list.i got 9 movies to watch, hopefully i can knock em out in this binge.
movie 40 was The Strawberry Mansionthis movie tries too hard to be weird, but i guess since it's about dream it has to. it was pretty slow, but visually it was very interesting. i loved the little poem and how you hear it for the first time it's a nice little poem but then the events of the poem happen and you don't remember the poem at all until the main character reads the poem again and you realize it's like a summary of what happened in the dream. i didn't like it at first but it was a pretty cool movie, not bad at all.i rate this one a 3 out of 5
