You should just call the whole system GNU
>>11468514He is going to die one day, and theAmerica that produced him, the America that valued liberty, no longer exists.
GNU is already represented by NU in LiNUx. It should really be spelt LiNUx.Li -> Linus KernelNU -> GNUx -> Unix homageAlso sudo pacman -Syu couldn't be easier!

I'm too lazy to not use linux
I do like Linux but use Windows on my main PC out of habit and because the support for running video games wasn't that good back in the day.I have Debian on my laptop but I barely use my laptop, will probably switch to a Linux distro on my PC sometime before support for Win10 ends because I hate Windows 11
>>11469331What do you hate about windows 11?
>>11469334I hate windows 8 for the online account integration, windows 10 for the telemetry and ads, and windows 11 for an installer with a mislabeled button where you have to click "yes sign up for office 365" in order to not sign up for office 365. When the quality of the software is so bad it has grandma entering her credit card number just to start up her new computer, you know the company is in decline.
>>11469334Just don't like it. Them switching around where certain settings are again, the UI looks dumb and it seems even more invasive on our privacy than 10.
>>11468126Linux is extremely easy to use. I use Linux because it doesn't support a lot of software I like to use so I waste less time on my PC.
>>11468188Fedora is king. Custom Arch / Debian installs are just not worth it if you're a beginner. Eventually you'll run into a weird bug you can't fix and then you'll have to distrohop if you're a noob like me.
i want to use linux but the external hardware I use has no compatible linux drivers>Verification not required.

Linux isn't hard to switch to from windows, I suggest you try Linux mint with cinnamon desktop.Archfags keep shilling on how "hard" it is to use their OS and unknowledgable people will think that Linux is some hacker black magic. Not all distros are like this and there are easy distros. If you are willing to learn more Linux trying out arch and then LFS is a good idea and if you really want the customisation you can also use arch or gentoo. But beginner distros are totally fine, and not too bloated compared to windows. Please give Linux a try if you have the time for it, I don't like a monopoly that makes a single company have absolute control on 80% of all user desktops, I hope other people will think about it too.
ganoo's not unix
