1. Complete myth/copout that I guarantee no one who has recommended it has tried. On one hand, no one with friends resorts to fucking Facebook meet-ups to make more, they have their own friend groups already and do normie activities like bar hopping. depends on where you are but you can find groups for doing pretty cool things. like I said outdoor stuff like mountaineering climbing or whitewater rafting, outdoorsy people are usually extremely nice and welcoming thats why i suggested it. Or even nerd stuff like tabletop. I've made friends from a group like this but I live in a city. It will always be harder if you live somewhere extremely rural, maybe you could try starting a group if there is none?

Unironically the most efficient method is to go to a local furry convention.

About 50% of the people there are visibly on the spectrum, and completely starved for social outlets. The panels mean absolutely nothing so you can go to whatever, just find one that seems like it will have the most random free time to talk to people seated near you and start yapping at some fucker around the same age as you.

After 2 or 3 tries you're in. Most people are there with more than 1 person and already have a bit of a group, so you might feel like a 3rd wheel initially but it doesn't matter. Go get a meal with them, ask around for more randoms to join, make a discord, host a games night next weekend. They'll probably convert you into a furry but it's more or less worth it.

Speaking from extensive personal experience. Don't make friends from 4chan. 95% are entirely uninteresting and you'll have a dialog of about 10 lines of text till you're ready to ghost them.
The other 5% are either completely insane and/or part of some kind of gay psyop because people are so deeply unhappy witht their lives that the only thing that stops them from killing themselves is ripping others down to their level and calling it "comedy".
