I hope everyone is able to understand and acknowledge why those "random" sticky threads are sticky'd. Actually, they're not very random at all. Those examples were specifically chosen to generate some "board culture" awareness and (hopefully) prove a point. I can not describe it any clearer than that.Your fortune: Good Luck
if that were true our friend Mr. Frosty would be stickied

>>12005924Mr. Frosty and Garlic Salt are prime examples of what NOT to sticky (though I suppose mine aren't much better and I can humbly admit that). To their credit, however, their posts aren't as bad as the constant torrential influx of pedoslop, zoophilia, "hentai that shouldn't be hentai because it was never meant to be," and such other NSFW material. Granted, this is entirely subjective because it is simply my opinion, though I do not find it in the least bit surprising that other users (including Anonymous users and not just namefigs) genuinely seem to have a similar opinion as I have and still do.What we are seeing today is a pretty damn good example of (the idea of) s4s board culture being kept alive through general mindfulness and acknowledgement of "what could/should be" posted (at least, on this {nice} board).True, no janny nor mod can truly "dictate" s4s's board culture, as it ultimately comes down to "individual interpretation," however, they can give us a generally good idea of what would "normally" be kept around as "commonplace" and "non-controversial" s4s threads.Again, just my humble opinion. But I sincerely believe there is some truth to what I am saying. Verification? Not required.
>>12005917I only read the first five words of your thread.
>>12006186Garlic Salt is the biggest filter on this board. He's one of the OGs of this board having been around for like a decade at this point. I cannot comprehend why he now triggers such a negative response from people here. The missing part of your theory is that it's not just mods reinforcing their idea of good threads. People used to spam threads asking for mods to sticky good threads, especially during the moot era when mods actually liked to played along. So when a thread did get stickied it was motivation for people to make better threads in hopes they would get stickied too. That dynamic has been gone for years but everyone still likes to see a sticky.Your fortune: Good Luck
