You are not supposed to use flouridated water for infant formula because there is no ambiguity about it. It probably doesn't matter for adults but it does matter for children, and the amounts added to drinking water in addition to toothpaste and the amounts found naturally in food easily breach the threshold. Neighbor friend I knew growing up had streaks on his teeth caused by excess flouride, it's not a stretch to think he was getting too much. He ended up a huge heroin addict with brain damage.What I don't understand is why dentists act like we need the flouride water so desperately when only homeless people that weren't using toothpaste at all get any benefit from it.
