Those still probably come out at 8 cents at scale by the time you factor in the drill bits you have to wear down, at $2 a pop, to poke the holes in the pennies.
>>
>>16090589
you punch through them
>>
>>16090590
Which just requires some other tool that has electricity/fuel costs significantly more than 8 cents that also wears down through repeated use over time.
>>
>>16090593
>significantly more than 8 cents
for punching a single hole? can be done mechanically with no electricity
>>
>>16090593
see >>16089028 picrel
>>
>>16090598
Yes buying a hole punch to punch only 1 hole is way more expensive than 8 cents, but even the image shows 3 and if you tried to do it at scale, you probably wouldn't do better than the 8 cents over time.
>>
>>16090609
dude you must be retarded at quantifying required energy.
you can also do it with any pointy bit of metal, and whack it with the hammer. you need about 2 seconds and the energy cost is low. a human can output some 250W of work, see how much 2 seconds costs, at full output (for some reason)
>>
>>16090611
No, a chisel also costs significantly more than 8 cents and will wear down with each whack of the hammer, it costs way more to employ a person to punch holes in pennies than to have a mechanical punch that manufactures washers.

>>16090622
Good job spending 81 cents and your own sweat equity to avoid spending 8 cents even if that photoshopped image were completely accurate.
>>
>>16090630
it's an aliexpress screenshot.
you keep the tool for anything else you might want to make. it's not even about the tool. any basic workshop already has something you can punch with.
250W human output for 2 seconds means 0.14Wh, at around 23 cents for 1kW it works out at 0.00322 cents in energy spent by a human. you are not wasting much on it. and you literally need anything stronger than copper or brass
>>
>>16090635
>you keep the tool for anything else you might want to make.
Unless you break the cheap tool whacking it with a hammer.
You can't pay people people in 2 second increments and if you are doing it all yourself, the full set up and process is going to take longer.
>>
>>16090639
>yeah you are right, unless
>unless
a bunch of these edge case scenarios.
>what if we can travel faster than the speed of light?
>what if we can create energy out of nothing
the last resort for brainlets
>>
>>16090639
>the full set up and process is going to take longer.
than getting in your car, driving to the hardware store, search for the isle, pay, get back in car, burn gas, risk accidents, get back to your home.
>>
>>16090640
>a bunch of these edge case scenarios.
No, it is guaranteed to happen repeatedly if you scale up and if you don't scale up, it costs much more than 8 cents to produce a washer.

>>16090642
You could do that to buy the chisel and hammer too.
>>
>>16090648
>No, it is guaranteed to happen repeatedly
this is about being worth it to make it yourself not about fucking scaling it.
also of-course it costs way less than 8 cents to mass produce them. dude wtf I'm loosing IQ points fuck this
>>
>>16090650
I accept your concession and admission that your interruption was the result of some kind of dementia.
>>
>>16090653
meme is about a dude diy-ing them. doing them yourself with whatever is around costs you the coin you're making it out of. that's it.
at the same time, they can be mass made for cheaper than 8 cents. that is the single fucking reason you can buy them for 8 cents. because whoever is making them earns money for making them. they have to be cheaper than 8 cents a pop, to make.
>>
>>16090659
Industry can produce them cheaper than a diyer because they are mass produced around the clock by industrial machinery that takes advantage of economy of scale.

Hardly any projects require 1 washer, If you have a large project, you may need a few thousand washers and doing them all yourself probably won't save you much more than just ordering them directly from a mass producer.
>>
>>16090663
>you may need a few thousand washers
the edge case scenarios you're willing to go to so your retarded argument isn't as retarded
there's literally two washers in the meme.
>>
>>16090664
Its not an edge case, it never scales up which is what I have been saying the whole time >>16090589 since you will always need $20+ dollars in tools to save 7 cents if you just do 1 or 2 and if you do a large project you will just wear down your tools at a greater rate than the industrial production and end up spending more than 8 cents a washer in the long run too.
>>
>>16090667
>since you will always need $20+ dollars in tools
it's free if you have any metal pointy bit that you can hammer into the coin. you already paid/found the tools, if they are in your workshop already. they don't count towards the cost of making the two washers.
you have no standing anon. you keep making it about industrial scale mass production for some strange reason, when the meme is about two washers, and it's cheaper to just make two washers, and there's no way around it, apart from invoking some retarded fringe cases
>>
>>16090674
>it's cheaper to just make two washers
*if you ignore the cost of making them
>>
>>16090675
if you make them out of 1 cent coins then it costs you 1 cent, for the coin. the energy you put into making it costs few orders of magnitude less. so its 1.003 cents or whatever, for a washer, supposing you already have a hammer and a metal pointy bit. which anyone needing a washer should already have anyway.
>>
>>16090685
>supposing
>should already have
Yes, like I said if you ignore the actual cost of turning pennies into washers, it only costs a penny, but if you actually take all the costs into account, it will be much more expensive and only approach 8 cents when you have scaled up to similar industrial levels as current washer manufacturers.
>>
>>16090698
>and only approach 8 cents when you have scaled up to similar industrial levels as current washer manufacturers.
it doesn't cost them close to 8 cents you turd
>>
>>16090702
Sure if you ignore the actual costs involved and negate the costs of the tools and labor with suppositions.

That clearance sticker IS from the Locutus figure. The clearance sticker says, "WAS: $15.88." The price of the Locutus figure is $15.88, but the Michael figure's original price ends in 70. Someone switched the sticker before taking this photo.

the anti science psyop is a weird one
>>
>>16139580
>you pay 30% of your check as federal income tax
Not even close, more like 10% of my gross income after deductions are figured.
>you pay 10% for state income tax
5% is my state's tax rate, but again after my income is adjusted it's more like 2% of my gross income.
>you pay another 7% in sales tax
True, but not on food which is an important distinction.
>you pay another 8% in property tax
I don't own a house or land.

In America we pay so few taxes compared to the rest of the world it's actually kind of insane. There are countries where people literally do pay 30% or more of their gross income to income tax AND THEN have 20% or more sales tax on top of that every time they buy anything. Taxation is theft, but I'm grateful to be stolen from way less than I would be in other countries.

tolerance is faulty, it doesnt exist other than a faulty concept
it is unstable and does not persist testing it on its own parameters
it is a distraction, a sociocultiral battering ram, envisioned and distributed to corrode and deconstruct white hegemony in their societies i.e. northwestern europe and central north america.
segregation allows whites to unfold and utilize their potential, multiculturalism inside of naturally ethnic white nations only distracts and disturbs whites.
without multiculturalism and the concept of tolerance inside of white nations such as the u.s.a and germany, france or the united kingdom mankind would have already colonized the solar system by now
>>
>>16154441
Tolerance is a desirable quality in society, its antithesis therefore inherently isn't.
>But why can't we tolerate intolerance??
Because that would result in less tolerance in society. Bada bing bada boom so simple
>>
>>16154475
tolerance breeds lazyness and indifference
it creates safe spaces for bullies, thieves and slackers and other kinds of destroyers of society
without clear cut well formed behavioral boundaries everything in a society will become meaningless
tolerance is poison

Doesn´t it depend on at what weight the scale was zeroed?
