Is it new Settled Science or something else? To me it looks like the anti-science MAGA rednecks have infiltrated the US government regulatory apparatus and have now manipulated the government into claiming, without evidence, that fluoride is neurotoxic and causes cognitive delays. Sauce:https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/epa-fluoride-drinking-water-federal-court-ruling/
Research into whether Fluoride is bad for you or not is barely new and besides you people always say rude things about 'rednecks' or whatever else or their appearance or likes whenever you get personally attacked over something like fluoride (because you've been drinking it your entire life and now if you were wrong (unlucky) you can't automatically claim a moral high ground over the 'other side'). Basically you're a clown and pushing back science because it's a government conspiracy or whatever is exactly what you claim the 'MAGApedes' doI'm not a Donald Trump fan either but I'm also not on whatever side you are on and you should go back to pol as well as all that
>>16439840OP is a sad, lonely troll. No need to read anything deeper than that into his post.
>>16439829The conclusions of one random judge are irrelevant to scientific reality. He's not a scientist or an expert on public health, he's a legal authority. Science is not based on popular opinion or appeal to authority, but rather on repeated experimentation and the ability to test hypotheses and scrutinize the results. The vast majority of existing research and public health data confirms that fluoride is safe in drinking water and plays a crucial role in maintaining dental hygiene. The existing data makes it very clear that public health initiatives promoting fluoridation have led to significant improvements in dental health, reducing dental treatment costs and improving overall quality of life.

>>16439829>CBS newsI would not rely on CBS for reporting on science, they're far from being scientific experts.
absolutely no studies on the health effects of fluoridation and very little on whether it actually reduces dental problemsIt always has been a way to dispose of industrial waste
>>16441272it has been conclusively proven that fluoride strengthens decayed tooth enamel, which is an enormous help in preventing cavities.it's only effective topically, ie applied directly to tooth surface, so there's no reason to drink fluoridated water if you actually brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste.as far as systemic health effects, nothing negative will ever be published, or at least not publicized, because anti-fluoridation was long ago memed as a paranoid delusion (see Dr Strangelove).
>>16441400>there's no reason to drink fluoridated waterI've been chugging it for 35 years and I turned out AWFUL
>>16440141>everyone else must be obsessed with politics because I am
>>16441400>there's no reason to drink fluoridated water if you actually brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste.Correct, however drinking fluoridated water lowers your IQ, so people who drink fluoridated water are too low IQ to understand the logic in your reasoning
psyop to stop white kids from hydrating properly
>>16440291Make america Hitlerian again?
>>16439907Fluoride‘s neurotoxic effects have been throughly studied for over a century. Who the fuck gives a shit about the health of children’s baby teeth? They’ll inevitably lose them.
>>16439907The exact opposite is the case. One merely has to look at properly adjusted dental costs to immediately know things are awry. Also, the decisions of judges and juries are more important than your retarded ass realizes.
>>16453438I actually looked into this last year, and found a Chinese meta-study (https://ehp.niehs.nih.gov/doi/10.1289/ehp.1104912) which showed an average IQ decrease of 0.45 points in children with fluoride water concentrations ranging from 1 to 11mg/L compared to a group with <1mg/L exposure. This was a meta-study across decades, and there were also other contaminants present, like arsenic. Overall, there was a statistically significant decrease, but it's practically negligible, as most IQ tests have an error margin of 5 to 10 points. The maximum fluoride concentration set by the US EPA is 4mg/L. If your kid becomes retarded, it's probably not fluoride. Although 50mg/L concentrations does cause hippocampal degradation in rats (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10329641/)
>>16453509>OK, I'm finally willing to admit that fluoride makes you retarded, but not very retarded so its still OKWhy can't you just own up to the fact that you have substantially reduced IQ as a result of having consumed fluoridated water for your entire life? Do you have Stockholm syndrome for your abusers?
>>16440134>>16439877It's hilarious how much the science crowd seethes when retards in the basement turn out to be correct almost every time.
>>16453957>no you must consume industrial waste>its good for you
>>16439840>whenever you get personally attacked over something like fluoride (because you've been drinking it your entire life and now if you were wrong (unlucky) you can't automatically claim a moral high ground over the 'other side'The people who are saying that fluoride drinkers should stop giving themselves brain damage by drinking fluoride are not 'attacking' the fluoride drinkers, they're trying to help the fluoride drinkers and minimize the amount of brain damage they get from drinking fluoride.
>>16454066that wojak is already starting to feel dated
>>16455560Hmm yes, but luckily it doesn't give you brain damage.
I was just going to make a thread about 'reverse osmosis'. Apparently its the most effective way to remove fluoride from tap water though I have heard that it filters out all the good minerals in water. Is RO water safe for consumption without re-mineralising it? If not what is a cost effective way of re-mineralising the RO water?
>>16439829Its also known nervous system depressor and children exposed to "normal" or even little lower than "normal" levels of fluoride are more likely to suffer from mental health issueshttps://keck.usc.edu/news/fluoride-exposure-during-pregnancy-linked-to-increased-risk-of-childhood-neurobehavioral-problems-study-finds/https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2818858?utm_source=For_The_Media&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=ftm_links&utm_term=052024
Fluoride is toxic in any amount. More is worse. It damages you in many more ways than iq. The benefit for teeth is extremely tenuous. If you want to strengthen your teeth then brush with hydroxyapatite. All the benefits of fluorapatite plus it doesn't stain your teeth and it's what your teeth are actually meant to be made out of, not some frankencompound that shoehorns it's way in by being the most reactive non metal element.Anyone who disagrees is a triple nigger that should kys immediately.
>>16455652>If not what is a cost effective way of re-mineralising the RO water?all the "good" minerals in water are extremely cheap: table salt (sodium chloride), "salt free salt" (potassium chloride), baking soda (sodium carbonate), epsom salt (magnesium sulfate). you can get many years supply of each of these for less than $40 total
sodium flouride has industrial uses, its not a waste. If you have free flouride in your water you have been blessed
>>16453957thisImagine being so fucking brainwashed you think a bi-product from fucking mining is good for your health lol. I love how dumb leftists are. So easy to exploit.

The existing data makes it very clear that public health initiatives promoting fluoridation have led to significant improvements in dental health, reducing dental treatment costs and improving overall quality of life.Pro tip: Every single one of those public health niggers was just copying what some other ape said or towing the party line. All the research that ever needed to be done on fluoride was completed a century ago. It takes a basic inability with logic and an affinity for lying to go along with the fluoride scam. Perfect for basedentists.>Actually if you get the science just right this poison is actually good for you. It's actually advanced science you wouldn't understand. I'm a scientist though, so I get it because I'm much smarter than you. No I haven't actually researched or thought about it at all, I just know I'm smarter because I ticked "fluoride good" on the exam and got full marks. See I trust smart people and I imagine you trust dumb people because I couldn't imagine thinking for oneself. Don't you look stupid now, didn't you ever think to listen to experts? It's a life hack that instantly makes you super smart and right about everything. Yes, I went to some trouble to seek out the top, most respected authority on the issue. You only listen to crackpots on the internet because you're too stupid and lazy to find out what the top scientists say. I mean, it's the same thing you've heard repeated your whole life everywhere you look so I don't know how you missed it. But obviously you haven't heard that it's safe and effective. You must be stuck in an echo chamber. I, on the other hand, have done thorough research and have conclusively determined that all the relevant experts agree that it's safe and effective.
