The actual definition has to do with mass (I think). There is probably some way to describe all states of being, but I do not know the scientific term.

The particles that are massless are: the gluon, the photon, and the graviton. Gluons are the massless particles that hold together atomic nuclei.Physics, to me, is physical phenomena. It is in the name. But what is ‘physical’ isn’t a matter (lol) of mass.
