The "speed of magnetism" describes the speed at which the magnetic field propagates through a vacuum. The magnetic field isn't directly what's moving the object, it's the force induced on the object by the magnetic field. The speed of the object's motion depends on the force it experiences from the magnetic field, not the speed at which the magnetic field itself propagates.
