Does planck length mean space is pixelated?
>>
No. All it means is that there is a smallest length that can be measured.
>>
No. Planck length and other Planck units are only intended as dimensionless units. There is nothing fundamental or elementary about them.
>>
>>16537060
yes. everything must be pixelated for it to exist.
>>
>>16537060
planck length is a theory only...
>>
>>16537070
>measured
What about formed? How can something that can't even be measured have a consistent form?
>>

>length
>dimensionless
Wut?
>1.616255(18)×10−35 m
>dimensionless
Huh?

>fundamental or elementary
The fundamental elementary components of planck length are the the universal constants G, h, and c.

>There is nothing fundamental or elementary about them.
They indicate the point where general relativity can no longer be realized as an effective quantum field theory and you need its UV completion (strings, LQG or something else) to interpret what’s going on.
>>
Possibly. But since general relativity is a thing, it's not simple pixels.
>>
>>16537060
No: observations of optical aberrations from the most distant stellar objects are inconsistent with pixelation at the planck scale.

Speculative

Schizo.

LOL
>>
>>16540085
We don't know anything about form. We know what we can measure.
>>
>>16537515
Planck length isn't a theory, its a constant derived from other natural constants. There are multiple methods to derive planck's length and give it meaning.

>>16537060
It doesn't mean it is "pixelated" but it could give rise to the idea that space and time are quantized units. If you believe space and time are real, then you must conclude that we can not measure them on any magnitude less then that of the Planck scale. The alternative is to assume space-time do not exist on scales smaller then that of the Planck length/time and propose some alternative that explains what happens on such a scale.

It is the size of the weave of physical reality

>t. guy who regularly has OBE's

>>16540257
>speculative
It’s a purely theoretical issue, not an experimental one so the word “speculative” doesn’t even apply. If you need another example, QCD works the other way around and the usual techniques fail below about 200 MeV.
>Schizo.
No, just standard jargon in something you clearly don’t understand.
>>
>>16537060
no, it means that devices made of matter have a limit to how far they can measure

someone turn the anti-alias off
