So this is clearly an interference pattern
No it's not. It is just a representation of a field, and if you're talking about iron filings all they show is a least energy configuration due to the finite size of the filings themselves.
yeah it could be the result of a wave function. it makes no sense magnetism would make those lines, there should be no interference.

>>16549131You think those plasma lines don't produce their own magnetic fields too? They are no different to the iron fillings.
>>16549023Sure, the North and South Pole are constantly magnetically attracting each other, so by definition they are interfering with each other's magnetism.
>>16549023Most people coming out of undergrad unironically believe that magnetic fields exist as discrete lines and that no field exists between those lines.
>>16549136bro what the hell is a plasma line?
>>16550070>plasma if held in place by a strong magnetic field>magnetic field creates lines
>>16549028>all they show is a least energy configuration due to the finite size of the filings themselveswhich show an interference pattern?
>photon carries el-magnetism>photon is a wave>waves create interference patterns
