Nice anon. Ive been thinking of trying to learn guitar, ive never played an instrument before. Is it very hard?
>>
>>33581934
Love your voice OP, are you open to taking requests?

I quit 50 seconds in after distractions

good voice, now get yourself a basic bitch audio interface, download REAPER and record it properly, you'll love the result
here's my rather primitive metal/hardcore powerchord wankery

It's not easy that's for sure. I'd get a teacher. I tried teaching myself but didn't have the motivation
>>

this goes unbelievably hard holy shit. I have logic pro and a midi keyboard, more of a piano player than guitar player. Can you recommend an audio interface?

so i tried vocaroo for the first time on my laptop (after having not used it previously for 2 years) and it didnt work (i had posted a vocaroo without checking and an anon said there was no audio) then when i went back and tried it again, it did work. now its not working again and ive tried turning the mic on and off. i have a mic from my days of msa but i dont know where the cord is and the mic im using is the laptop mic. any help/fixes anyone might know?

mine is a good ol' 2nd gen Focusrite 2i2, been using it since 2019 and got zero complaints. not really too big on gearfaggotry but I think any AI in the 150-200 bucks range should be just as good or even better

OP again, this is me playing keyboard and singing

Hello music friends. I want to start maybe publishing and developing music but I feel like my voice is too cringe. I don't know if this is the regular cringe that everyone feels when they hear their own voices or if my voice is genuinely terrible. Please tell me if I sound okay (or even if I have the potential to sound okay through practice)

I'm recording this on my phone so the quality is kind of shit, sorry.
(I'm singing KS by Car Seat Headrest)
>>33581934
You have a really nice voice anon, you sound like what I'd imagine your frog picrel would sound like (in the best way possible).
>>33582850
It says the recording couldn't be found and that it was likely deleted or taken down. Unfortunate!
>>33583133
I thought this was a hardcore version of I Fucking Love Science by Hank Green when I heard the first few seconds DESU. Very good though, I like the drums a lot— the loud but consistent rhythmic banging profoundly satisfies me.
>>33583205
Have you tried uploading the song onto vocaroo instead of directly recording it on the website?
>>33583222
Your voice is so fucking good, I could listen to you sing for hours. Do you have any social media where you upload your singing at all? It has a sort of “worn” and experienced quality to it while still possessing a very nice smoothness that makes it sound extremely comfortable (I don't know how to describe things properly).
>>33583228
This clip is good, albeit a small bit generic. The sloppiness in your playing makes it feel more raw, which is nice.
>>33583239
Sounds like it'd belong in Your Turn to Die (compliment).
>>
>>33592222
I like the higher part. The low part bores me but most low music does and most new seems to be low-focused which leads to me hating the music altogether. But anyway, lessons can help you as they can everyone. I sucked before lessons and now I suck in a different way (too screechy on the highs). Most teachers are willing to do the first lesson free so its a good way to get your feet wet
But lessons can't make you great unless you already have the natural talent, i say. People tell me im good, I've sang in some bands, and i've gotten paid to sing things on fiverr... but never been told "great". There are tons of naturals out there who've never had a lesson
>>
>>33592222
No, I don't have any social media, but thanks. Here's another recording for you, nice quads btw

Very nice very close to billy joel's tone and the fact you're playing piano at the same time no small feat!
>>
>>33581934
I have some shitty depressing violin + guitar stuff on bandcamp that I've posted on /mu/ before. Unfortunately a couple people there liked it so it must be even worse than I thought

>>33583239
Super smooth, would work as background music in a hotel or something. I like it
>>33583133
Brootal. Could easily be the backing track for a cannibal corpse song

bump before the abyss
