Hi everyone, another matchmaking anon here. Got this idea from the other ones, obviously, but wanted to try my hand at it :D
I have always enjoyed the concept of these threads since they feel a lot more personal than posting/picking through.

A few things…
If your template is incomplete or lacking to the point I cannot match you, I will respond and let you know.
Women can sometimes be few and far between, for that reason I will be waiting one week before I start pairing.
Feel free to attach photos, just be sure to include if you would like for them to be sent to your match or not. You will not be filtered out if you choose not to send a picture. Please, nothing nude.
Be realistic, the chances of someone in your city that is also your type ending up in this thread are slim to none. Try to be open minded!

So, here is the template :D

>ASL, be specific (Exact year, what genitalia you wield, your area code.)
>Race
>Religion
>Weight/Body type
>Height
>Education, employment, or lack thereof
>Vices (Drinking, smoking, etc.)
>Sexual history
>Disorders
>Introduction (Be as brief as you want, longer preferred. Include your morals, personality, lifestyle/fitness, hobbies, aspirations, family life, living situation, anything you see fit.)
>Physical description (Details! This section can be ignored if sufficient photos are attached.)
>Your type (Freestyle)
>Hard limits (Age, religion, distance, etc.)
>Other information
>Your email and any other contacts
Send to: matchmakingstuff@proton.me

Remember, the more open you are about yourself, the better I can pair you :)

Basically, anons send in applications about themselves and what they would like in a partner. I read through them and slot them into their respective categories (Age and gender), then I will go back through and match you to someone else depending on your types.
The matches won’t be perfect, unfortunately. I want to make sure that there is a good chance of getting a match that you feel attracted to, so I might pair you with anyone compatible enough (Provided they do not go against any of your hard limits). I imagine this will be a bit of a long term project, since other anons that have run matchmaking threads like these have often said it can take well over a month or two to find a suitable match.
Feel free to send an email to my proton if you have any other questions :)

Thank you! I hope this will be fun for everyone.

I'll give it a shot, good luck anon!

26, Cis Male, Europe

(sry i won't be specific at first )

>Race

Caucasian. Southern italian.

>Religion

Agnostic Atheist

>Weight/Body type

270lbs | 130kg , hairy bear type guy and bald.

>Height

5'6ft | 167cm

>Education, employment, or lack thereof

Unemployed theater kid. I have passion and goals just not normal goals like finding a job. I want to be more independent than that. I am lucky to have parents who believe in me and support me.

>Vices (Drinking, smoking, etc.)

I don't drink or smoke and have never taken any drugs

>Sexual history

Comfortably a virgin. I was sort of an incel kid at 16 but I learned that I'm not in a rush to loose my virginity.

>Disorders

Avoidant Personality Disorder.

>Introduction

I'm a really artsy guy. I love making music, drawing, creating things in general. I am very left leaning. I don't think billionairse should exist. I pride myself of being a person with integrity and critical thinking skills.
I'm a very good therapist and advice giver.

>Physical description

Brown hair and eyes, big eyes, sort of thick eyebrows, a cute nose, smaller heart shaped lips and I'm very hairy.

>Your type (Freestyle)

I like trans and cis women.
I really dont have a type at all. I take most people for who they are and chemistry is way more nuanced than someone who I consider my type.

I know I like smart, critical thinkers who are accepting and know how to tolerate me and make me feel validated.

Body wise I feel the same way. I like tons of different body types and features.

I love a lot of features that people consider undesirable like saggy skin, body fat, body hair, unique noses. Unique looking women are beatiful.

>Hard limits

Under 21, racism, classists, overly edgy people, people who think saying slurs is peak comedy

>Your contacts

My discord is @fattysoulmate

Reply if you want to add me elsewhere.

I am not! I actually participated in one of the older ones, I got a match but he never replied :(
I’m hoping I can pair at least one successful match from this. Maybe as interest grows, it will be easier :D

If you would like to be included in the matchmaking pool, please send this to me over email. I have a sorting method and it helps if everything is in one inbox.

>>33589818
No problem! Thank you for putting in the effort to apply. I have a feeling that these kinds of threads appeal more to women because the applicants take it seriously and there is some sort of vetting process involved. Good all around.

We have had one of those on our family cottage wall for as long as I have been alive. Love that thing.

God speed OP, I hope you get more than 2 actual women to respond to this sausage party. I think this might actually be a really good addition to /soc/ considering how it is really hard to get to know people on here without self doxxing to someone who will ghost you in 2 days. I will add my doc into the fray just incase you can cook something up for me.

Oh yeah, definitely more likely to receive responses via this method I would imagine. The internet in general can have a lot of flakey people but this board can be particularly bad at times. Though I have had some nice chats here and there at least and people here tend to share my interests more so than any other site I've tried.

Ok 2 questions. 1. What is the ratio of men to women? Since women wouldn't have to worry about being flooded with DMs and having another woman like you be the matchmaker I take the ratio is less likely to be as bad as anywhere else but I take its still quite low which takes me to second question. 2 Do you source female matches from somewhere else or just here? And if its the former then where and do they know where you get your male matches?
>>
>>33587857
Bumping the thread but i do have a question:
Will these be processed by a certain date or are you continually processing entries as long as there's a thread up?
(i submitted an entry good luck everyone)

This is as good a thread to ask as any.

But what would the attitude be toward a website designed around algorithmic matchmaking?

I have one in the works very early on, but designed around faceless matching and getting people on dates working around specified criteria and matching people who are likely to get along. While obviously attractiveness is an issue, it'll only let you filter on vague criteria like short/tall or skinny/average/fat and activity levels.

My goal is really just to be user friendly but doing very slow and intentional matches instead of dating app meat markets.
>>
>>33592771
Twenty six :-)

>>33594123
It’s about what you would expect, 5:1 male to female. I don’t source the matches from anywhere else, the goal of this is to cater towards 4chan users specifically. I hope that any anons who stumble upon this thread won’t be intimidated by it :D
Not to criticize that one 4chan matchmaking app (I’m going to anyway), I think its original concept was a fantastic idea that has now been ruined. Started advertising to other websites, catered to their users, degraded the classic long form email format into a normie game. Even though the gender ratio on here is unfortunate, it’s more personal and curated. I hope that pays off in the long run.

>>33595858
I am going to wait a few days to collect some more submissions since the locations vary widely. I have some lovely applicants, women and men, but I don’t want to just match them to someone random just because that’s ‘the best’ I can do right now.

>>33596276
It’s already been done before, as I talked about above, but it ended up becoming normie slop due to the advertising tactics used. It’s not a bad idea at all, especially if your goal is to be slow and intentional about the matchmaking process. Only question is, how would it be slow and intentional? An algorithm isn’t the best way to go about that, usually a human touch is best. All in all though, I think it’s a great idea and if you want to give it a shot, you should! I’m sure there are plenty of folks on here that would love to be a part of a beta test, and I’d also be glad to give input if you want to shoot me an email. I’m also not very experienced, I’d reach out to some of the other matchmaking anons if I were you. They’ll have some interesting insight I’m sure :-)
>>
>>33587857
Do you allow homos? The old data collector didn't because it was hard to match them but since there's so many tranners and gays on here now has that changed?
>>
>>33596506
>An algorithm isn’t the best way to go about that, usually a human touch is best
As someone that's gone to actual matchmaking services, I'd honestly disagree.
It's great in theory, but 90% of the time its just some asshole trying to get you through the mandated matches and not caring about the end result because they got their cash already.

I had one guy literally tell me he didn't understand why I wasn't happy that a match he gave me had literally no similar interests and nothing in common.

Algorithms, at least depending on how they're done. At least will automatically follow the things you list as most important and will tailor things to your specified interests. Not what the matchmaker, who is usually some house wife doing it on the side, thinks is best for you.

I do! I already have a few applicants that mentioned they would be fine with a same sex or transgender match, some even prefer it. I am meant to be an unbiased matchmaker, so homos feel free to apply.
That said, I will assume every applicant is straight unless they mention otherwise. Usually people are very forthcoming with their hard limits or preferences, so it’s been very easy to filter homo submissions into their own section. That was a blunder on my end, if I do this again I’ll be sure to include a sexuality section in the template :)

>>33598135
I’m a bit of a sappy romantic so I have to disagree with you, unfortunately. I think there’s a big difference between a paid matchmaking service and a passion project, of course someone looking for a check will be more interested in cranking out lackluster pairings than actually considering who you are.
Algorithms aren’t bad but you will essentially create yet another dating app. I think the reason these matchmaking threads appeal to anons is because everyone is sick of meaningless, shallow matches produced by algorithms… it feels tender and personal to be paired by a peer. Even if it takes a week, a month, a year, I think anons like you and I deep down just want to be considered. It honestly boils down to the question of what do YOU prefer? Do you prefer an algorithm that will be objective no matter what or a human where there will maybe be some emotion behind the match?
I think it varies user to user, it’s up to personal preference :D

>>33598154
I answered it above but I figured I’d reply to you as well. Yes, I allow homo submissions!

Anyway, responses aside. I have officially sent out my first match! I sent them a brief email with their pair’s ASL and contacts, I’m excited to see where it goes. Goodnight anons :)

this is a pretty neat idea, but there's basically no chance for me to get matched with anyone due to where i live. good luck to everyone else though
