Recently, I've been thinking about Molyneux's problem; if you're too lazy to Google it, the sum of it is that certain thinkers have speculated that blind people wouldn't be able to recognize objects in drawings as representations of actual real-world objects. They were proven correct on that. The main problem with human understanding of the world is that we don't have a true understanding, but instead we have associations. Most of these need to be created when we're young or other people flat out will not be able to comprehend the world in the same way as you do, and vice versa. Some people can read this paragraph of text and perhaps they'll associate it with reason and try to follow what I am saying; others will do the opposite and assume I am some redditor because there's a wall of text right there.

I'm sure you've heard of cognitive biases. You aren't free from them. Nobody is. Not even me. This makes explanations and conversations quite difficult sometimes, because you have to couch a lot of what you are saying in a compliment sandwich (start with a compliment, say what you mean, then end on a positive note). But not just a compliment sandwich, also a belief sandwich; people are driven to believe some things only because what's said is couched in what they already believe. We also refuse to believe obvious facts because they aren't. The way you construct your understanding of reality and what associations your brain allows you to make are what defines your unique perspective.

Anyways, this is kind of barebones and EXTREMELY surface level because of the text limit here. I'd like to speak to people who'd like to continue this conversation with me. Voice chat is fine.
