NPB streams can usually be found on strikeout dot im, there's a game on right now if interested
KBO official streams are on sooplive dot com

>on right now

Did Taiwan throw a parade for the LLWS winners already?
>>
>Ichiro and Hideki Matsui btfo
kwab

>>150506275
would they really throw a parade for that
>>
>>150506305
They put a youth team on their currency just for beating Japan in a match iirc
>>
>>150506330
looks like they did it in 1999 as just a general celebration of their LLWS success and of baseball I guess, a tad late as they didn't win between 1996 this year
I'm still a bit skeptical about how much Taiwan actually likes baseball these days though. To me there's more evidence that just like China they've somehow become NBA loving sheep for reasons that are still not clear to me. Even in the LLWS in the little player intro things they do half the kids on team Taiwan their little info blurb was that their favorite athlete was some NBA player.

new pitcher is pretty cute

the Ichiro (and DiceK and Hideki Matsui and others) vs high school girls game by the way
Ichiro up 3-0, probably over, if I recall previous editions of this game the girls struggle to score runs on Ichiro, they just don't hit the ball very hard

If that's true it makes sense. Taiwan is very densely populated and they don't have much land to work with. I imagine there isn't much space dedicated to sports so they just put basketball fields since they are the smallest and easiest to fit everywhere.

as an MLB fan first one of the things I pay most attention to in NPB and KBO are potential future big leaguers.
Most notable player right now is of course Munetaka Murakami, who is apparently being posted this offseason. A few years ago it seemed like he was destined to not just be a future big leaguer but a future big league star, but with a couple of relatively down seasons and an alarmingly high strikeout rate his potential is a lot more murky now. He's hitting as well as ever this season albeit in a very small injury plagued sample size, but still running a crazy high strikeout rate for NPB. I'm very curious what kind of contract he gets this offseason, he's super risky but the upside is still immense. I imagine something with pretty high AAV but not a lot of years, probably some escalators and team options. It's hard to imagine him not going to the Dodgers though, I don't think any other team will be willing to take as large a financial risk as the Dodgers would for him

the boomer all-stars vs female high-school all-stars is a pretty good idea
they are both dead serious

in KBO the guy with the most potential is Kim Do Yeong. He broke out in a huge way last season, winning MVP at just 20 years old and also leading his team to a championship. Great hitter, runner, fielder, everything. Unfortunately 2025 was a nightmare season for him as three different hamstring injuries (to both legs) sidelined him for basically the whole season. He's still a few seasons away from potentially going to MLB.

More immediately, Song Sung Mun is apparently being posted this offseason even though he just signed an extension. Like every other recent KBO to MLB position player, he's a product of the Kiwoom Heroes. Song also broke out in a big way in 2024, but unlike Kim he was 27-28, not 20. He started off slowly in 2025 but over the past 2+ months he has been exceptional, with an average close to .400 and an OPS over 1.100, his season numbers are now likely to finish even better than last year. He's also a pretty good fielder and baserunner. Since he broke out so late he's a few years older than the recent KBO to MLB players but he could still be a pretty good player. His contract will probably be modest, maybe 5 to 10M per year for 2 or 3 years, not an amount any team should be scared of risking, could be a bargain.

5 years. looks like the first year was the closest, a 1-0 nailbiter. The girls have 4 runs in 5 years, not great

oof, got squeezed, that could have been a strikeout on Ichiro.

we still don't know whether ichiro is the biggest chud on earth or actually wanting to support girls

I have a hard time picturing Ichiro as some chud desu

They went pretty wild for winning Premier12 last year

The only baseball discussion that should be allowed on 4chan is Bananaball. FUCK MLB!
>>
Ichiro does have a lot of "old man yells at clouds" opinions about baseball. Bit odd that he would support girls baseball
