Less than 1% of Earth's population can even dunk on a 12 ft. net. Meanwhile other sports are much easier (baseball can be played by anyone regardless, soccer is just manlets kicking a ball into a net that's 12 billion meters wide)

Basketball is easy for first world countries because they have tall people. You are right about baseball being easy as well since fat people and mexicans can be decent at it and it doesn't require athletic ability. Soccer is hard, not even the US can be good at it even with all the investments into MLS.
