I think so still, but he is the weakest link between Messi (1) and Pelé (2).On the other hand, the other players who aren't part of the Big 3 are far from Maradona's level. Very, very far, whether it's Ronaldo Nazario, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Cruyff, etc.

Maradona is the GOAT
It's just Messi and Maradona, when the last few boomers die no one will even remember Pele
cansado de tus hilos repetidos de bajo esfuerzo, consigue una vida maldito argentino inútil
>>150594557How?He's not even the best player from Argentina.
Nobody rates those two plumbers except for boomers. Messi stands alone at number 1, followed by Ronaldo and Gerd Muller. Pele wasn't even the best player on his own team, he doesn't crack my top 15. Maradona had 2 good years from 86 to 88, fell off a cliff afterwards. Having said that, I do rate Maradona higher than Pele, definitely cracks my top 8.Any other opinion is invalid.

>>150594557How can a Brazilian call an Argentinian the GOAT of football when you have Pele?!
>>150594325Downgrade Cr7 from the GOAT tier to the big three (now four), he's not that much above the rest
>>150594325who are these spanish boomers wearing pyjamas??
Maradona on paper isn't close to the other contenders, he's a player you need to watch play and not just look at a wiki page. If you dedicate a decent amount time watching footage of him play you can easily tell he was a level above everyone else he shared a pitch with in his era just like Messi. The only other player I've seen that with was pre-injury R9 which is why they're my personal top 3. Career wise it would be Messi, Cristiano and Pele but i prioritise ability and peak level over trophy cabinet and longevity. Obviously Messi fits all criteria which is why he's comfortably no.1
>>150594950>Pele wasn't even the best player on his own teamThis is the dumbest revisionism in the history of the game
Maradona has fallen to the level of "streets won't forget" youtube highlight player
Maradona carrying Napoli and Argentina is something we will never see again from a single player. Maradona had a shorter peak than Pele and Messi, but his individual impact was the highest of any player.
>>150594325In order>maradona>garrincha>MessiFuck you fight me, you know I’m correct
>>150594325Pele is the most overrated football player in history he gets credit for a world cup he played five seconds in lmao maradona mogs
>>150594640As long as Brazil remains the greatest champion and no player manages to win three World Cups alone, Pelé will be remembered, boludo-kun.

We need another Argie there, so we completely mog the rest of the World with the best top 3 players ever

Pele scored most of his goals against plumbers.
