There's no global market for Barcelona vs GreasyDiveDago FC or Bayern vs Commieblockslautern FC.

The spending doesn't matter either. Nottingham Forest could play Everton just with British & Irish players, and be more of a spectacle than some random game in Spain or Germany with all the Latin American superstars.
