Wtf how did germany's performance drop so dramatically all of a sudden? They looked so good in the euros
Team is trash and had a sudden motivation boost because they were the hosts. Germany stopped being good in 2016
>>150663151Germany beating Italy in a competitive knockout match in 2016 disrupted the balance of the universe and Germany are paying the price for that.
VAR
>>150663076Refs were easy on them during euros because they were hosts and Kroos announced his retirement.
they beat scotland and hungary
>>150663076They were never good, just dopping cheaters. You can look it up, it's not a conspiracy theory. There's no way Hungary or Netherlands would have lost
>>150663513They got cucked by VAR though.Remember Cucurella's handball?
>>150663076unlike say the spaniards, the germans aren't total cuckolds and won't fight tooth and nail so that muttsiala can fuck all their hottest and most fertile women
>unlike say the spaniards, the germans aren't total cuckolds and won't fight tooth and nail so that muttsiala can fuck all their hottest and most fertile women
>>150663076Missing a few players, but the main issue is that the players are weakmind bitches. They can't be arsed to give it their all against most opponents, but at least they had enough common sense to try during a home tournamentBut the team also lacks quality. Fullbacks? They suck. Wingers? Washed. Good goalscorer up front? Haven't had one in over a decade now. And now, we're about to end up with mediocre keepers and centerbacks as well. Historically, German teams could make up for that through strongmind mentality - but the new generation is incapable of thatPart of the truth also is that Nagelsmann is similar to the worst part of Guardiola: he regularly feels the need to try dumb shit that inevitably backfires. And in the case of the national team, this means we never end up with a real DNA
>>150663076In 2024, our best team was a 4-2-3-1 with Raum/Mittelstädt-Schlotterbeck/Tah-Rüdiger-Kimmich in the back, Kroos and Andrich as DMs, Musiala, Gündogan, and Sané/Wirtz on the offense with Havertz being the meme striker. Neuer was in goal and Füllkrug was the main man to be subbed in when you needed a goal at all cost. Neuer is gone now, so are Kroos, Sané, and Gündogan. The goalie question is unanswered, but supposedly, Pavlovic is eventually supposed to be the successor of Kroos while Wirtz (or Musiala) takes care of the playmaker position. Sané never was good for the national team, but we don't have good replacements either. Füllkrug and Andrich are washed now. Musiala, Schlotterbeck, and Havertz are currently injuredNagelsmann wants Kimmich back as a DM, which is stupid in my opinion. We have zero decent fullbacks except Kimmich, it basically forces a formation with 3 CBs
>>150671968I think the best we can do in a 4-3-2-1 is-------------Havertz---------------Musiala---Wirtz---?????----------Pavlovic----???---------???---Schlo.----Tah---Kim.-----------------???----------------With Woltemade, Stiller, Rüdiger as main subs. Perhaps it's Stiller instead of PavlovicThat means we still lack a real striker unless Füllkrug, who is pretty old already, has a second spring. The main candidates for the open positions in the long run probably are Adeyemi (RW) and Atubolu (GK). These two are ... okay perhaps. Their spots can be held by any other keeper and Gnabry for now. but I have no idea who is supposed to play LB and DM. We only have Raum/Mittelstädt for LB and both are meh, might need another CB who is a bit more agile. And the DM spot requires more defensive abilities then what Stiller, Pavlovic, and Kimmich have. But we have no one with that skillset who isn't a total failure in all other areas
>>150672243I know germany was always teamover big names (though theyve had countless wordl class players) but this is looking grim
>>150672290It is. Though I have some trust in most of these players. Most players these days are systembabies anyway, they only work under certain conditions. That's why I don't automatically mind Pavlovic or Schlotterbeck or Havertz. And Musiala and Wirtz can be genuinely good. Adeyemi though, for example, is a real fraud in my opinionThe individual quality could be higher. But with a real scorer-striker, a decent leftback, a decent right-wing, and a decent DM/CM that isn't the Kroos type, >we would be fine. Assuming the manager isn't acting dumb and assuming the players manage to actually avoid weakmind shit from time to timeUnfortunately, none of these players are there and neither of the two mentioned factors are fulfilledAs you've said, you traditionally could feel good about most German teams even if they weren't the best individually. But that's not the case anymore, and it seems to be an attitude issue
>>150672290I don't disagree, but look at our 2024 formations ... are these not grim?
