I’ve grown up in the south and the sport is just unbearable at this point.
>excessive commercials
>refs changing game outcomes for Vegas
>retarded playoff format
>ZERO parity
>player loyalty is nonexistent
>all about MUH SHEKELS
It makes me angry that the loyal fans who grew up watching still give them their money. Same can be said for what is now the NFL… it’s ogre, stop watching and get a life!

It’s soulless, corporate goyslop intended to ZOG you out and rot your brain.
>>
All those guys are doing is exclusively to make it into the NFL while trying to make as much money as possible in the meantime while the stands are full of bumpkins being proud of the fact they're not getting paid.
>>
>refs changing game outcomes for Vegas
>retarded playoff format
>ZERO parity
yeah you are dumb as fuck
this is the opposite of what has happened

Doesn't matter college football has been how the butthurt south desperately tries to get revenge on the north especially states with no NFL team.

Just like south America and soccer
It's the basis of your self esteem

Transfer portal is gay as fuck, making an entire engineers entire 30 year career in one year for throwing a ball is gay. Sorry OP I think you basically covered it.

I think I will say that its still pretty amazing to be in a stadium with 80K people and everyone is on the same page, that hasn't gone away. All the bullshit you spoke of applies to Tier Two universities like USC or Boise State who are constantly hungry for playoff success but can't quite get there because there is no "salary cap" per se to limit teams from hogging players or are a symptom of obsessive TV boomers.

I’m reading a bunch of whiny horseshit from small conference losers. The 12 team playoff is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to college football. Go Hoosiers
>>
>>150986969
College football died when it became a playoff. College football was about regional rivalries, and winning your conference filled with those historical regional rivals. Over the past 30 years everyone became obsessed with crowning a "best team" like it was a professional sport, which destroyed all of that, but the level of play didn't increase enough to make the game competitive enough to be treated in such a way.
We now have a sport where 115 of the 130 teams have no actual chance to win a championship, and bowl games and most regional rivalries have been reduced or outright eliminated because of conference realignment that only happened to assist the 15 teams that do have a chance at winning a title to make the playoffs more reliably.

lol there was never parity, but it's better now than it was a few years ago
>>

you don't have to watch. Not sure why you need validation on that decision here or why you need to convince other people to agree. you're just bitching.

How many 12 team playoff games has your school been in?
>>
>>150986969
Not unless you're supporting your alma mater. The majority of the best players in college are average or below pros.

This is the real reason he’s seething. Most of those SEC schools are poor af compared to Big Ten schools and its starting to show.
>>
>>150997416
SEC got a lot of TV money and more obsessive donors though. Imagine if west and east coast elites cared as much about handegg like Southern elites. Phil Knight turned Washington into a powerhouse
SEC just wont be as dominant as before
I'm waiting for east and west coast teams to get their time in the sun because those schools are rich af
>>
>>150986969
im wondering why you are surprised by this and why you care. the nfl has argued its an ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS instead of a traditional sports league. nfl players are recruited from college teams so why wouldnt college football fall under that too?
>>
>>150987365
>College football died when it stopped being regional and we started getting shit like Oregon in B1G
It really did

When conference realignments started happening about 20 years ago it was all over. No different from the NFL at this point
>>
>>150987106
The playoff is beyond retarded and you know it.
>>
>>150987365
It died well before that. The Big 10 expanding to 12 teams back in 2010 is the first death throw of collegiate handegg.
>>
>>150986969
It all died because the NCAA (which was already a long-established joke) let itself get caught "off guard" by NIL rulings in CA despite having warning it was going to happen years in advance. If they had gotten out ahead of it and established ground rules then the sport wouldn't be the musical chairs of players (and teams, and conferences) travesty every offseason that it is now. Now it's probably too late to do shit about it until the SEC/Big 24orwhatever team up and take control to lay down new law.
I'm sure there's some pesky laws out there that would prevent it, but my fix would be that all NIL deals have to be signed as a 2 year minimum and you only get the full agreed amount if you stay with the school for the full thing (or pro rata if you go pro or retire). You only get minimum wage for your time if you leave for another school before the contract is up

Based on what, exactly? The SEC still had the highest win % out of all conferences in 2024 (pic rel) and still has the most teams with blue chip ratio >50% (meaning, they still have the most talented rosters, despite "muh NIL").
Michigan, a team that had NFL playcallers on offense & defense, and Ohio State, a team that won natties pre-NIL (and an NFL OC last year), winning natties hardly means the SEC is trash.

I thought you guys were frauds last year, but damn if that Illinois dub wasn't impressive. You got a good one with Coach Ciggy.
>>150993796
>>150997416
If anything, NIL has helped SEC teams. Look at recruiting rankings before parroting this retarded argument.

Reminder:
Redditoids, faggots, and kikes hate the SEC and kvetch about imagined cheating scandals because the conference and it's fanbase represent whiteness and southern resilience.
>>
>>151004151
How the hell do teams full of blacks in the blackest states represent whiteness? What a retarded delusional take.
>>
>>151004193
Its not so much racialized conflict, as it is anti-tradition/anti-heritage, where race conflict is downstream.

The South atleast pretends to maintain a sense of traditional american identity in contrast to globohomo multiculturalism.
And football represents a part of that.
Most people already don't really have any sense of geographical or local pride anymore.
But people do still have a loyalty to their college experience.
It's where they got laid the first time, got drunk the first time, met their most loyal friends, maybe met their wives and husbands.
It's where they matured and became themselves.

Any sort of traditionalism or loyalty to a regionalistic identity supersedes the desire to hollow out and upend that culture.

Why should Tuscaloosa be full of indian and chinese students?
These foreigners aren't going to carry any real loyalty or appreciation for traditions or identity.
In fact, evidently, they will secretly and openly delight in their destruction.

Blacks have a unique position. They're simultaneously utterly perpetually undeserving and self-destructive, but have the strongest historical argument for participating in american identity.
Maybe we can give them Louisiana and Mississippi, or just ship them off to Liberia like Lincoln wanted.
