the largest town in that area is Camp Crook, with a population of <100.

the average population density for the highlighted region is about 5 people per square mile. that's why there's no major professional sports team there
>>
That area of the country is nearly empty. Wyoming has the lowest population of any state. It's basically America's Siberia.

oh shit
> The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) is the largest religious body in the state of Idaho,[3] commanding the allegiance of 24% of the population. After California and Utah, Idaho contains the most Mormons of any US state. By percentage, it ranks second, behind Utah.
I never knew this. I wonder if they are more hardcore than the ones in utah due to more rural
Are those stories about literal multiple child wives and shit coming from here?

>Are those stories about literal multiple child wives and shit coming from here?
If that's not just an outdated myth, then I would bet they live up in the Idaho panhandle alongside the neo nazi camps.
Most mormons are pretty normal though. Keep in mind that Boise still has a metro area of like a million people. Not all that rural around there.

Utah was literally founded by Mormons to be a Mormon-only community.

polygamy hasn't been a mainstream thing in Mormonism for a century, maybe a few small isolated communities do it in secrecy but you're not gonna walk into like SLC and see a dude with 4 wives.

NFC and AFC North divisions close together
NFC and AFC have 3 teams close to each other and one team thats super far away
AFC South has a team not part of "the south"
Seahawks are just by itself in the region

Interesting

Same explanation as the last 5000 times this thread was posted. Why are you unable to learn something after being given the answer several thousand times?

Teams have areas they control. The Broncos, Vikings, Chiefs, and Seahawks border the area you've marked. Most people there will be fans of one of these four
The area itself has a population of 7.25 million. Less than New York City. The only somewhat relevant and large city in there is Omaha, and it's in Nebraska, which probably is still very much influenced by the Chiefs and Broncos since they are so close
Putting a team in that region wouldn't be profitable. Not enough customers to build all the infrastructure and put in all the effort, even if you assume everyone there would turn away from the four closest teams

Seems like a nice place
