My country doesn’t care nearly enough about soccer to justify this.

This is why you hardly see Americans at friendlies btw, it’s fucking $200+ for nosebleed seats against literal who countries or god forbid, MLS shitters in camp cupcake games
>>

To be fair cheap tickets aren't really a concept here. People will spend $500 on random regular season laffs games here
>>

Madrid and ManU sell out in your country every summer
>>
>>151242842
Those people are living paycheck to paycheck and probably on gibs. I guarantee you if they returned they wouldn't sell out with this economy. Normal people don't spend that much to see a friendly

The world cup should only be hosted in european countries with the occasional Brazil/Mexico every 20 years

These are the ones you will most likely see in the stadium, and unless some celeb/streamer do a Giveaway, ordinary fans will never be able attend the game

Yeah, but ppl from around the world will pay whatever they have to in order to come support their country.

Well in this case its FIFA getting the money, which is theoretically a non-profit entity, not exactly sure where the FIFA revenue ends up going.

why don't you back that up with a source
Here's mine:

>According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), American workers made a median wage of $1,194 per week in the first quarter of 2025, which would add up to $62,088 per year
Now let's deduct taxes (assuming Pennsylvania), $150 a month for insurance, and even 8% 401k contribution for retirement, and that gives you a take home pay of $4.5k a month.
>>
>>151241866
fucking mental, even with the elevated living costs you still end up saving a lot of money
being american is easy mode

The college leagues are huge for attendance in football/basketball, and there's tons of teams throughout the country. College Basketball is basically the main sport where you'll have teams throughout the country, every region, in big cities to small towns, competing in the same competition.

There's also minor leagues in hockey/baseball but they're basically reserve teams, but I'll still go to hockey games for $1 beer night. Soccer has 4 men's pro leagues: MLS, USLC, USL1, MLSNP (MLSNP is mostly a reserve league with some independent teams).
>>
>>151241856
It was a great team though
>>
>>151257428
how much do you spend on the rest? even if you spend, let's say 500 on food, 1k on fuel (lol) and 100k on electricity, water and gas (lol), you would still save more than what I make (asuming that median pay), an over the median worker in one of the highest paying countries in south america
>>
>>151257536
I get a take home pay (after taxes, retirement, insurance deducted) of $4,300 a month, then spend $1500 on rent, another $150 on utilities/internet, so that leaves me with $2,650.

I don't spend really anything on fuel since I only drive about once or twice a week. But to go out to bars gets really expensive, $15 for a liquor drink, $6 for a beer is typical unless I go to a dive bar, and I'll tip 20% so its even more. Also, restaurants are expensive here. So, it adds up. Then if I want to go to a concert, sporting event, vacation that's more money.
>>
>>151257460
Not really, they just got hella lucky

>>151257850
