The existence of Downpatrick implies the existence of an Uppatrick.

Wouldn't they be stronger if Ireland and NI united? They do it in rugby already.
>>
>>151291643
No, because some weird sports are more popular in Ireland
>>
>>151291643
People have made this argument. Personally I'm against it. Northern Ireland wouldn't be represented in an all Ireland team. Furthermore the IFA (the football body in NI) is the oldest football association in Ireland and the 4th oldest in the world. Over a century of football heritage would be lost if an all Ireland team replaced NI and the ROI

>>151290540
why can't they just get along? they all look and talk and eat and fuck the same. What's the point?

The original Irish Football Association (IFA, which is the governing body still in Norn Iron) was always based in Belfast because that was always the soccer capital of Ireland, in the early 20th century the sport was dominated by working class Protestants. The Catholic Irish had (and still have) their own football code (Gaelic football), and for a long time it’s body the GAA banned their players from playing “garrison games” (aka soccer, rugby and cricket).

During the troubles in the 20s there was a dispute between the Belfast based IFA and southern clubs, who saw the Protestant dominated IFA as biased in favour of Northern and in particular Belfast clubs who were also Protestant dominated. Southern clubs then split and the Leinster FA reorganised as the Football Association of Ireland (IFA) which represents the Republic in international football.

The Irish Rugby Football Union was always Dublin based and Rugby Union was an amateur game so there was wasn’t the same opportunities to have stupid fights over.

Apologise

All I know is that Northern Ireland are far less cucked than ourselves and Britain. Some of our leaders are genuine, if tragically lacking in hardnosed street smarts. But some are Neocon gatekeepers, whose real job is to make sure no effective opposition to occult cultural Marxism emerges. Thankfully they have been unable to gain a foothold in northern Irish politics.

The republic tried VERY hard to seperate the Irish from English culture, which included sport. So instead of association football, they pushed to make Gaelic football the premier football code. That arguably hasn't worked as you can see millions of Irish were following English football befoe the Premier League came along.
>>
the whole reason people in Northern Ireland consider themselves British is because hundreds of years ago they migrated from Scotland and shit. Get over it, you are not British anymore at this point
>>
>>151293283
"British" is a nationality, it's not an ethnicity. Their jurisdiction hands out British passports. They are welcome to consider themselves British no matter what you say.
>>
wow that's a big lake
>>
>>151293298
a nationality they have not had for centuries. Y'all give those Polish people shit for exclusively shopping at Polish supermarkets and they are first generation immigrants. Imagine them still doing that in 2400.
>>
>>151293356
You don't understand "nationality". Where they are born privileges them to a British passport. Therefore they have British nationality.
These days however people in NI can choose between a British or Irish passport, or can take both. That was part of a the solution to the "Troubles" - Irish nationalists can solely opt for an Irish passport.

They can take the north, it's a kip anyway.
