The winning team goes on to play the league champion in a best of 7 series, with the league champion having a one game advantage and home field for the entire series. The winners of these two series face each other in the Nippon/Japan Series.
Trevor Bauer has elite swing-and-miss stuff. The only problem is that hitters aren't swinging at it, and when they do swing they aren't missing.
As a Carp fan, I hope both teams lose
the bust series
Takuma's leadoff single is followed by a bunt from Kay and an rbi single from Tatsuo to make it 2-0 Yokohama
>>151304691Funny thing is Yokohama have a gaijin starter for the first two games, neither being Bauwr (Kay today, former Dodger and Pirate Andre Jackson tomorrow)Bauer isnt even on the postseason roster
3-0 Baystars
Giants finally get a hit 3.1 innings in
Yomiuri literally has no reliable starting pitching. Iori is falling apart. Griffin is out with injury. Togo has been garbage all year, destroyed by Abe and Hara's overwork. The rest aren't worth mentioning. If the Baystars somehow lose this series they should do one last TikTok / Fortnite dance and then commit public seppuku at Hamasta.
Kaybros...
>>151304659who's the designated hitter?
WAKABAYASHI 2 RUN HOMER CUTS THE YOKOHAMA LEAD TO 1Only his fourth homer of the year
>>151304836They'll have one in 2027, don't worry.
Ah nice, Fighters and BayStars both up.
LETS GO DIANA
Venus got raped. Dianachads stay winning.
Uhhhhhh ham fighter bros? The ham is fighting back
Is Fujinami on the postseason roster? This game needs a little excitement.
>>151304985I believe so
>>151304901They both have qtsVenus oshi graduated last year ):
>>151304985I checked the Baystars page, it says he's registered. He actually had a few decent starts after returning to Japan, but he profiles more as a backend of the rotation starter. Maybe he pitches in relief.
>>151305007>>151305033He has been good generally since his return, but I still don't trust him not to melt down at a key time.
>>151305033ANOTHER YOSHI BOMB
Jesus he did again. Tsutsugo has been taking no prisoners in the second half
>>151305079>>151305084Rays legend

KBO tie game in the bottom of the ninthhttps://www.sooplive.com/soopbaseball1
Fighters win yayOne more win and then the PL Climax Series will be peak
Ogayun must be happy the BayStars are winning
And the Baystars win
>2 hitsYomiuri is legit pathetic. This year's huge acquisitions, the lineup depth, the defending champ status. Even without Okamoto there's no excuse for this to have been a barely .500 team. Maybe its Abe's fault, or they're just weak-minded, I don't know. Guess its not over yet.
>>151305451All that for Kai just to get bounced in the CS if it continues tomorrow?
>>151304691Unc ain't even on the team anymore
>>151305464Seriously. I don't know what Kai was smoking when he ditched the new Evil Empire he helped build to share space with Kishida and Ohshiro at the old dysfunctional one. Truly baffling call.
>>151305451>jackson vs togo tomorrow>check togo's statsJesus I knew he was bad this year but not that bad jfcAnd I thought Saiki getting overtaken by Murakami at the start of the season was bad.
>>151306206Yeah Togo's thrown so many innings the past few years its basically destroyed him, the signs were there even at times last year.Murakami has always been sneakily better and the true staff ace, even though he doesn't have that tall powerful radiance like Saiki. Saiki basically peaked when he dabbed on the Doyers in spring training. Murakami's arsenal is way deeper and his control is better, Saiki is fastball spam with the occasional forkball / slider, hence why he can't put away guys this year and kept having 100 pitch 5 inning starts. Saiki does have this magical ability to escape jams hence his lower ERA but his underlying numbers are inferior.
>>151306408Hes also really good at eating innings. Kind of like Logan Webb in that way.
