>Had a knee injury pre-World Cup 2018
>Instead of getting surgery he played at the World Cup and won it even scored a goal vs Belgium in the semis
>Post World Cup only played a handful of games for club and country because of that injury.
>He just wasn't the same again
>Eventually retired age 31

Is this admirable or did he make a mistake?
