Why doesn't anyone here watch MLS? I just started watching soccer.
>>
>>151458818
all american aoccer fans watch the premier league, MLS discussion is pretty dead
>>
>>151458818
No relegation makes the league pointless. You're just watching billionaires owner play teams with nothing on the line or anything to play for
There's no stakes
>>
>>151458818
We used to have a lively general, but I guess people just got bored with it. I know I did, barely even come here to check if there is a thread up anymore.
Today was the last matchday of the season and I'm not even sure someone else made a thread for it.
Also >my team shit the bed this season so I kinda stopped watch games after a certain point.
>>
>>151458818
I watch it and my team was ass this year and it unfortunately everything revolves into Pessi/Messi crap and I just don't think most MLS fans are on 4chins lots of reddits in the fanbases with pride flags and tranny crap
>>
>>151458818
The costa rica guy killed the vibe

It's locked behind a paywall.
Either Apple+ or MLS Season Pass is needed to watch the games.
There are only a handful of games on OTA television.
>>
>>151458818
Apple tv, Messi onlys and eurosnobs shitting up our general ruined discussion for good.
>>
All the games are on a streaming service no one has and the latest expansion teams have somehow made it even more soulless
/sp/ is a USL board
>>
I watch it whenever I can, had Apple+ to watch >my Galaxy shit the bed this season. Just to reiterate what the other anons said, there's no relegation so there are no repercussions for being dead last and its not on regular TV, so the reach is very limited. I am sure that if the league was restructured to allow 2nd division teams to move up maybe every other year and get rid of the nonsense salary cap restrictions, the MLS might start being a more attractive product. Only a very specific type of person is actively following MLS, and even those hardcore fans will drop it if their local MLB, NBA, or NFL team starts playing well. Its a shame really.

It's cheaper to watch EPL legally and also easier to find streams for it. Why go through the extra effort to watch a worse product?
>>
>>151459471
>eurosnobs shitting up our general
Are the eurosnobs in the room with us right now?
>>
>>151458818
>no pro/rel
>no clubs, just astroturfed franchises
>league-promoted faggotry in the stands

hard pass on MyLilSoccer
>>

I used to watch TFC when they were new almost 20 years ago. I had season tickets too and it was fun. The problem was they just kept shitting the bed and we stopped going and stopped watching for years.
I know it's not the same as eurosoc where there's no relegation and no salary cap but in leafland you only have so many options for a local club when it comes to soccer.
It's difficult to also force yourself to like teams in the euro leagues when you have no natural connection to them unlike your local club in North America but that's just me.

because its cringe and lame

>muh pro/rel
MLS is like any other league in the world where they only care about the top teams with the most Indian supporters. Having a rotation of bottom feeders is not going to change league interest.
>>
>>151458818
The only good thing about mls is giving ufl teams a place to play
>>
Really the big reason no one cares about MLS anymore is Messi.

The league was JUST starting to shake the reputation of being a retirement league for Europe's aging superstars. Then Messi brought the Barcelona retirement home into the US and suddenly all these old fogeys were playing rings around players who were supposed to be the next evolution of young talent in the Americas. Then Suarez came, then Reus came, then Muller, then Son, De Paul... you get the idea. They started dominating everyone when they're supposed to be doing their final dance and then the audience realized "fuck, we're not even watching these players at their best anymore and they're single-handedly playing circles around the entire league". Who wants to watch that?
