Cole Palmer tier at best
>>
He was based but inconsistent. He’s famous more for his personality than his playing career. He’s probably a bit like Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
>>
Overrated at fuck

Choked in CL, stat padded against relegation fodder in PL.

Literally only rated so highly due to marketing

surprised he retired so early , he was as popular as Ronaldo 9, more popular than zidane and the rest
>>
>>151597869
In Greece maybe, anywhere else in the world, not even close. Even in France no one cared about him.
>>
>>151599132
just saying he retired right before the WC98 and the whole football boom with beckham and the rest, had he stuck around for couple more years he'd be as popular today since he was already one of the most famous at that time nikee comercials etc. he went on to be an actor or something which is funny
>>
>>151580345
he was a bruno fernandes type
world class player in a team of shitters
>>
>>151599376
also video games etc. come to think about it it was probably one of the most disastrous decisions. he was already the face of epl. all he had to do was 24 months, not even play just fuck around.

Cantona is the archetypal hot-headed mediterranean French dude with no anger management at all. People interpret this typical form of shitty behavior as "aura" and do respect that. Same for Pepe, S. Ramos etc ...

But he is def based. He spontaneously took defense for Dieudoné M'bala M'bala (a very successful French comedian in the early 2000s, he was later ostracized by the media for openly criticizing Israel.) at a time it meant a lot to do so and very few openly supported him. He clearly is deeper than the large majority of brainless footballers.

Wasn't that good, and typical stubborn player that need a second father as coach to play with confidence.

In French NT, nobody missed him. Still don't get why MU fans and Ferguson love him so much.

By the way, MU played better after he left

And I add that Zidane was better than him (maybe later in his career, not in mid 90's), Djorkaeff was definitively better than him

I'm sure he's totally not biased because of his Algerian wife and the fact that he gave Muslim names to the two children he had with her.

Oh and let's not forget he called Deschamps racist for ousting Benzema from the team. Who am I kidding anyways, you're probably Nafri yourself
>>
>>151636080
So in the 90s, world famous footballers had the same kind of house as the average scaffolder?
>>
>>151642887
they didn't make nearly as much money back then
>>
>>151580345
Sovl af but his footy skills are exaggerated
>>
Literally an all-timer, but his personality overshadowed his ability and that’s what he’s now more known for
>>
>>151637116
>I could never
>>
>>151642887
That is actually a good house unironically, as modest as it looks. Detached in a quiet suburb, probably as much space as he needed. No doubt a footballer now would prefer a bigger distance between himself and the press however.
But he wasn't struggling to afford it. He wasn't as low paid as other footballers at the time - £18,000 per week so he had signed a multi-million pound deal. Cantona is clearly not an idiot, he's good with money and knew he didn't need a massive house. He's not had any money issues afaik.

Won Leeds a league title then moved to United and was a major reason why they became the powerhouse of English football after a period of being shite
