How do we fix it? Does it have to merge with other nations' leagues? Bayern so far>Played 8>Won 8>Scored 30>Conceded 4
>>151648828I think its best to just scrap that entire shitshow
>>151648828DDR-Oberliga > BRD-Bundesliga
>>151648828bauern munich gets relegated from the bundes if they fail to win the champions league
>>151648828Just distribute the money more evenly. It would take time, but eventually, the others would catch up. Bayern isn’t managed better than the others anymore, and the PL shopping sprees hurt them more than the other clubs here because they have lost their monopoly on the league’s top players. Unfortunately, the last ~15 years were perfect for endless Bayern hegemony. They had a golden era while big clubs with plenty of potential (Hamburg, Frankfurt, Köln, Stuttgart) had clown eras and got relegated at least once. And their only rival was Dortmund, who ended up there through a miracle run but had no financial depth to challenge Bayern in the long run. Things are different now, though, and I believe a more even distribution of TV money could already tip the scales in the long runOf course, Bayern will never allow this
>>151648913WER IST WISMUT AUE
>>151649829How much potential TV money is there, though? Maybe I'm wrong, but the Bundesliga doesn't seem like it has the same potential that's being realized by the EPL, for example.
>>151649829that's correct, Bayern wastes plenty of moneythey win actually on pure gumption and soul
>>151649866It makes much less money than the EPL, but it still is pretty hefty. And the current distribution is more uneven than the PL. Bayern gets like 100 million every year and the current last in the ranking, Hamburg, gets like 30. 55 is the median. You can’t stop Bayern’s long-term sponsorship deals with the likes of Telekom that are obviously much more profitable than Freiburg‘s deal with jobrad.de, but giving Bayern „only“ 60 million would already help a lot. And if it works, the long-term deals might follow suit at some point Also, it‘s not completely unrealistic to expect the entire league to profit from a more balanced competition. More international audience, more attraction to sponsors. Even Bayern might profit in the best case scenario, since it is unlikely they will ever end up as midfield fodder. But they are fine with the current situation and don’t want to gamble on everyone else getting something Another additional option would be a league-wide salary cap that conveniently is high enough to not hurt anyone but Bayern and maybe Dortmund
>>151649829>Just distribute the money more evenlythat's the day Uli calls Florentino to revive the super league
>>151649866It doesn’t. But it’s by far the most popular league in a country with 85 million inhabitants and the world‘s third-largest economy. Stadiums are packed, clubs have tens of thousands of members who are pretty consumption-friendly. And there are even international viewers … somehow, I wonder about that as well, because let’s be real: Bayern winning all the time isn’t exciting if you don’t have a specific club to follow already. The PL‘s revenue is 7.75 billion, the Bundesliga is at 4.5, and that’s with two teams fewer and 306 games instead of 380. A clear difference still, but it’s the third-highest football league in total revenue and the second-highest in revenue per game. Of course, Bayern etc also make money from the CL and other international stuff
>>151650902That’s what my last sentence says as well. But a man can dream and this is as realistic as it can be. And maybe it would be better than the status quo, even if Bayern were to not accept it. It’s really fucking annoying, and I could imagine a Super League falling apart. Bayern pulling out would hurt the league for sure, but it would cause a rift within the club as well. Bayern weren‘t involved in the first SL plans for a reason; they know they would get hit hard for it as wellThem accepting it (but still being very mad) would obviously be preferred
>worried AGAINWhy does my league make 4ners seethe so much?
>>151648828j-just buy more of are overrated shitters for more than 80 mio in relevant currency, I am sure this will help things in the long run
Germany is basically Germanic states ruled from Prussia (Berlin). Guess where the white and black jersey comes from. And they will never get rid of the authoritarian attitude, deeply ingrained. They secretely enjoy this situation. So just let German club football slowly erode until it's behind Italy and France in the UEFA ranking. Maybe they won't even change it then or try to please a new master
>>151650967>world‘s third-largest economyit hasn't been for more than a decade chud, catch up with the times
you cant fix what was never good to begin witth
>>151652685Why does that make me a chud? And yes, Germany is third by GDP (nominal, not PPP - poor people points). It's a meme of course, but that's the most common metric for this stuffActually unbelievable that this is the case after being hilariously shit for at least 10 years now>>151652869Thank you for thinking about our league, glorious Briton. You just made my day
>>151648828Germans love it because they all support Bayern as some sort of weird german national team surrogate. There's no club culture there like in other countries.
>>151652992Not even in (You)r wildest dreams do (You) actually believe this. Be a bit more realistic next time
>>151648828let stuttgart win champions league next season so they will get strong socios following that make them financially strong to compete b00n
