Boxing Day is a Friday this year, to answer the question we all had. And surely there's nothing wrong with one of those "midweek" matches being on Boxing Day? It's the day when every bong is guaranteed to be at home and free to watch it. What team would move a guaranteed ratings success to play on a different Friday in March or something? That would be colossally retarded.

There will actually be no Boxing Day matches this year, because the teams will all be playing on Saturday the 27th and they can't play two days in a row.

I don't think any of those matchups are even particularly good.
Maybe United/Newcastle, but either of those teams could go off the rails into poor form any time between now and then.
Brentford seems to have found their stride and Bournemouth is having a good season so far. Spurs and Palace are a good London matchup, City and Forest sounded like a good idea in August.
Still they should just move a couple of those to Friday.
If Trump ruled England he'd have made a big fit over it.

Put the Saturday fixtures on Boxing day. There's your midweek.
Put those following Tuesday 8pm shitfests on Sunday. There's your weekend and it's evened out.
