Then every year we removed 2 until there were 20. There is a legit argument that the top 10 of the 2nd tier aren't that far from the bottom of the 1st tier to justify them being in 2 separate tier, so I wouldn't be that mad if we changed to 30 teams, but then it would force us to have 58 matches or some crazy swiss system or division by region thing, which I hate it. Anyway, in regards to Argentina, I think they would benefit more from having way less teams in the 1st tier and more cups with the smaller teams, and even bring in teams from Paraguay and Uruguay. Like a league of 10 teams that play each other 4 times, with a 2nd tier of 20 teams, and 2 cups, a national and regionalized one, and a international one with cone sur countries with only the top teams. This would make sure that all teams survive, I think, while also keeping their top teams at top shape for international competition, I think. SAF/SAD should be priority also, they need any kind of injection of money into their tournament.
