The only thing I know about Baseball comes from that Futurama episode, and it sure looks fun as hell to play.

A lot of your time as a hitter is at bats that result in nothing. As a pitcher, you are locked in a constant battle until you're pulled from the game. You have adrenaline pumping throughout with each inning you pitch.

They are thinking about sequencing, accuracy, mechanics/timing, batter tendencies, tunneling pitches, and dealing with baserunners. I think very few positions in all of team sports require the amount of thought that goes into pitching. It’s similar to chess, in my experience, and this is part of why autismos excel at it.
