Here in the South Island about half of NRL supporters follow a team that isn't the Warriors, most of which are from older generations.

Younger people, who are the demographic most likely to be on Insta, Tiktok etc. are more likely to support other teams.

Support for the Warriors has definitely been increasing over the last 5 years or so as they slowly shed their old image of being a perennial comic relief team.

It’s basically applying t20 strategy along with extreme aggression to test cricket, I suppose in rugby league it’d be playing it wide all the time like 7s or 9s and doing high risk/reward stuff on attack and never going for two or even kicking for touch just tap and spin it, and always going short on kickoffs and dropouts. Nobody does that, the closest is the Greeks or Jamaicans at the wc and maybe any Walker Bros coached team

You can see with the example of the short meme dropouts (smd) that the extreme style doesn’t really work in rugby league imo because the game is fundamentally balanced. With the smd it is counterable by having a good jumping player on defence to tap the ball back properly to his side, it’s easier to defend than a cross field attacking kick because you aren’t tapping it back to your own in-goal, that’s if you don’t simply catch it. There should already be at least one player on the team with this skill set, usually a winger. That’s in the NRL, as anon says in lower leagues you might not have a player like that

As for moving the ball wide it’s generally assumed this shouldn’t be attempted until the middle and edge defenders are fatigued enough to not get quickly across to where the ball is moving, so usually you’ll go up the middle first to force those big blokes to make tackles and wear them out before sending the ball to the backs. It’s not a golden rule there’s also the element of surprise that can work for the attack if they do something unexpected but if you’re doing it all the time it becomes expected

The next move for the NRL should be to set up its own movie studio ala the WWE. The first moving could be called NRHell, a house of a 1000 corpses type horror film.

I like the idea of buying hotels for the away teams to stay in, next step would be buying a fleet of private charter jets for away teams to use. The NRL can charge the clubs at cost (shop price or whatever you want to call it) and also make profit on these things as ordinary business ventures outside of their need during the season.
There’s probably some other stuff they can look at like this, things players use and maybe some things fans use like setting up a business in the concessions providing stadium food (again, sold at cost to the fans)
