There is of course only one place to start, and that was the start of the evening session as 71 year old Paul Lim yet again reaffirmed his legend status by becoming the oldest person to win a match in the PDC World Championships as Jeffrey de Graaf imploded against the Singaporean veteran. The Singapore Slinger was superb in Set 1, averaging close to 95 as de Graaf bottled multiple crucial doubles, but understandably faded in Set 2 and allowed the Dutch-Swede to level. However, an absolute scrap of a third set saw Jeffrey bust 70 on D16 in the decider and Lim suitably pinned 71 to go 2-1 up. The fourth set also went to a decider, but de Graaf got nowhere and Paul hit tops for yet more history.Elsewhere, Gary Anderson came back from 1-2 down to send a spirited Adam Hunt back to Q-School, the two Lukes in action today both had problems but emerged victorious in four sets (Woodhouse beating Krcmar and Humphries defeating Evetts), Andrew Gilding averaged nearly 98 in a four set bumming of Cam Crabtree and Wessel Nijman produced just the second ton-plus average so far with a straight sets win over Karel Sedlacek.Tomorrow, Stephen Bunting headlines the day against Sebastian Bialecki, with other former major winners in Ritchie Edhouse, Joe Cullen and Dimitri Van den Bergh starting their Worlds campaigns.
