hello, I'm the spanish guy with the blue MR2I saw frenchbro was asking about buying oneThe car is very reliable, the only advice I can give you is to ensure the soft top isn't leaking and in good shape and that you get rid of the precats ASAP, if you can get it with a hard top it will be even better, the car feels much better to drive with the hard top on!you should check for oil leaks, it usually leaks around the oring around the chain tensioner, but that's very easy to fix, so if that's the only leak you'll be fine with itif it's a UK import check for rust of coursewhen driving it, check if the car doesn't accelerate smoothly at low RPM, it's likely to be the MAF sensor, while it usually can be cleaned it will sometimes require replacement, so you can use that to get the price loweredI haven't been around the thread because I lost my love for F1, I quit my job as a software engineer and I'm now a pig farmer shoveling shit all day after my mom passed away suddenly, hence why I didn't see frenchbro's post earlierI recently got a new exhaust manifold installed on mine and it has changed the car a bit, it's got more torque and just feels better in general.The car is not super easy to drive on the limit, but it's easy enough for a mid-engined car, know your limits and don't be an idiot and you won't crash itEnjoy your poor man's elise, it really is a great car to own and I hope more people can enjoy it and have it make them happyAlso, happy holidays /f1/, until we meet again!
