What causes the Australian mentality of pretending to be cheeky banter lads on the surface, whilst actually being nasty little cheats when they think nobody is looking?I actually think the explanation is in the kind of people they are. A mixture of a literal prison population intermixed over 200 years with their "born to rule" Victorian British colonial governing class, plus copious amounts of sunstroke thrown into the mix.It's not every Aussie but it is enough of them.
