It took the Sox losing 121 games to finally get Jerry to at least put some effort into the team, especially in the minor leagues where it was a complete mess. So while the team is still behind others and the payroll will forever be small as long as Reinsdorf is there, they're at least trying to make the real steps to become a Rays or Brewers like organization. Unlike before where they said they wanted to do that but then put no effort into actually copying them. So unlike the last 15 years or so they have a few people there that will try to creatively get talent in and work around the anchor holding the team down(Jerry).
