How do NFL fans feel about every stadium becoming indoors now?
>>152652705Dead league, thanks goydell
It would be fucking retarded to put a stadium in the Las Vegas sun and not cover it.
fuck snow and fuck the cold, rain, and wind
>>152652786>>152652778go watch soccer then
>>152652794they literally play divegrass in all those conditions you dumbass
>>152652778Literally everywhere in the US is either gonna be too hot, too cold, or too rainy.
>>152652705who caresGoydell wants every NFL game played all over the world, american stadiums are finished
>>152652822no they don't. there's never been a snow soccer game in any professional league. rain delays most games.
>>152652778>>152652853lolwut
makes me wish my career had started 20 years in the futuret. tua
>>152652705Why is this even happening? Why not build stadiums with roofs you can close? I thought this outdoor culture was ingrained into the sport ... like it is the case with most sportsI get that being able to close the roof can be very useful for many non-sport events and also the competition itself, but getting rid of any outdoor character altogether ... why?>>152652853Retard alert
>>152652853>he doesn't know about orange ball kino
>>152653665Every stadium with a roof that opens and closes just remains closed 90% of the time anyways due to it being too hot or too cold, so there's no point in spending the extra money for a movable roof.
>>152653665We can't inconvenience the precious club level clientele
>>152653738I would have expected them to protect the sport's outdoor identity. Stadium with that feature here may close their roofs for special events (concerts, etc.) or in case of dangerous weather. It is possible to make exceptions, but they have to be agreed on in advance. In any case, it is a set rule that the standard for sports games remains an open roof so that rain and even snow can take an effect ... unless it gets too intenseAny league fared well with "normal" stadiums: first they were open bowls, then they covered the stands, and then they came up with roofs you can close for extreme weather situations and special events that can make extra revenue
>>152653794it's for Taylor swift concerts year round and the hope of hosting a super bowl once every thirty years
>>152653665The way I see it, it is less about nfl events themselves (they played outside for 100 years and the only thing that postpones events is if it is too dangerous for people to actually get there, not any weather conditions at the stadiums themselves) and more about allowing events in the winter or brutal desert summer like large concerts to occur anytime during the year. Right now that is really seasonal in most places in the country
>>152653844This.
>>152653844>and the hope of hosting a super bowl once every thirty yearsIt is sad that one of the main reasons new stadium funding gets approved is because they'll likely get to host 1 (one) Super Bowl. That's 100% because politicians and their friends will get tickets to that single event, so they support funding it at the public's expenseNice work if you can get it
>>152652705wow look at all those empty parking lots
>>152653844>>152653855But why do you need a permanently closed roof for that? Why would it be in the rules for Super Bowl stadiums?Just close the roof when you need it. Even if it's cheaper to have it sealed permanently (I don't think it makes a big difference depending on the technology you use, and having a stadium-wide AC system must cost plenty), fans here would definitely try to shoot such an endeavor down. The advantages of having closable roofs are obvious, but I kind of don't see the bonus advantage of permanently closed roofs. Perhaps I am underestimating the cost advantage, but the intangible sports culture element remains
>>152653933Stadiums with moveable roofs keep them closed most gamedays and they let in such little light and "weather" that they're basically pointless and expensive items
>>152652705This has to be one of the most American photos ever taken
>>152654017las vegas is a uniquely soulless shithole in a country full of soulless shithole cities
>>152654017It is a desert
>>152652853>he doesn't know about the USA Costa Rica snowbowlhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9xuaQDkmL8
>>152652705Patriots will never move to a dome, unlike KansASS City. Just another reason our glorious Tom's reign of benevolent terror was infinitely better than Mahomo's feckless time on top.
152652853Assuming you're b8ing but in case notThere have been many, many soccer games played in snow and probably 60% of all English Premier games are played in rain.
>>152654031Vegas is pure SOVL if you know where to look. The strip is def soulless
>>152653933super bowl is held in January so it's going to be too cold to host it anywhere north without a roof.
>>152654031Golden Knights are one of the most sovl teams in NHL tho
>>152653933The cost difference is significant and the operable roofs don't always work reliably.ETFE roofs are decently transparent, too.
>>152652705Soft league becoming even softer.
>>152652705I don't like it very much
