Deloitte recently did some analysis/study bullshit which said football/soccer is 4th overall in viewing habits, AFL being first, Rugby League being third, and tennis being second (somehow). Rugby Union was 10th, cricket was 5th
I also think soccer/football was first in participation among boys (narrowly edging out swimming), ahead of rugby, AFL, cricket, and so on. Even if you assume people transition to other sports later on, it’s not like actual big talents will drop it just because
