So, it happened AGAIN. We can blame VAR, we can blame injuries, we can praise Wolves efforts (the historically worst team in Premier League history), but the truth is it's simply not enough. Tactics, determination you name it, it all stinks.

Don't get me wrong, I still have full faith in Amorim and the lads, but MASSIVE reinforcements are desperately needed in the winter. Otherwise I'm not very optimistic about the second half of the season. Not playing like this. What do you think, /mug/? #AMORIN or #AMOROUT?

Let it be known that Manchester United of Sir Matt Busby Way, Manchester gifted to the worst ever team in English Premier League history, the gormless Wolverhampton Wanderers, an enormous 33% (that's a whole 1/3) of their points total increasing that total to three points, effectively gifting them a win, whilst bottling a lead at home before 1000s of plastics over for the holidays.

Questions to answer for Amorim
Sky Sports' Gary Neville at Old Trafford:

"Serious questions to answer for Ruben Amorim after that performance.

"Why he changed the shape only he will know. The Man Utd boss essentially named exactly the same side that beat Newcastle on Boxing Day but reverted to a back three and it cost him.

"That feels particularly damaging."

Man Utd are currently in 6th place. They finished last season in 15th. It's not been a great year, but it's absolutely been a good one. The only question is why the fuck did they splurge £70M on Sesko when they already had Hojlund, who might have worked better with Cunha and Mbeumo without costing another penny.

Sorry but that is the most pathetic display I have seen from United in a long long time. We are an absolute joke. There is no cohesion, no aggression, no communication, no desire, no passion. This has been the obvious problem with the club for a long time so why has it not been fixed. We need a fresh mentality and to go back to the successful United. I am not taking the lack of first team players as an excuse because I am not convinced there is enough talent in those players to make a difference. We just are just in a major recruitment rut and none of the academy players have looked close to good enough. Mainoo and McTominay have been exceptions to that and look how they are being treated. What the fuck ks going on??

Anyone who genuinely backs this manager is AN IDIOT

We dropped 2 points against the worst PL side of all time, the same amount of points that they had gathered before playing us

He's such a fucking coward, YOUR STUPID 3BACK DOESNT WORK yet he keeps doing it to prove people wrong because he has the ego of Mourinho with none of the skills, and guess what you prove nobody wrong because it blows up in your face every time. ZIRKZEE RW YEAH FUCKING GENIUS Let him link up with Ugarte and Dalot. Not like Dorgu played a stellar game at RW last anything....

Amorim got this game completely wrong tactically just like he did vs Everton. His stubbornness with usual trends when something different is working continues to be troubling. Why he wastes Dorgu at LWB when he had his best game for the club at RW is beyond me, and the fact not once did we see him on the right is a major tactical mistake.

Complete lack of urgency across the pitch. All three CBs taking the piss passing to one another while the home fans chant ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK. Do better, show some ambition. Usual suspects like Ugarte and Zirkzee dogshit as usual. Fletcher anonymous in every appearance he's made so far too unfortunately, and that 17 year old was a weird sub to make when Lacey was on the bench and already played for the first team.

Overall an abysmal performance from players and manager. Not acceptable and everyone involved will deservedly be reminded of this for the rest of the season. Some players don't realise how lucky they are to be playing for this club.

Also Neville needs to fuck off. Zirkzee drops stinker after stinker, is lucky to even be involved tonight after his performance vs Newcastle and then tries forcing some narrative around how baffling it is to bring Zirkzee off just because he scored a deflected goal. If he could focus on doing his job as a commentator and not continue to add drama like a cunt to the club he loves then that'd be great.

Agreed, you need some serious re-inforcements in January. Especially with the fact that Zirkzee started instead of Mbeumo because of AFCON and had to be subbed off at half-time.
>>
>>152743572
Utter wank performance. Gifted a point to the worst team in the league.

Awful braindead players, abysmal subs that did not add anything. Our Youth players didn’t make a case for them deserving minutes with some of the decision making and performances today. Sesko needed 10 shots and still couldn’t score.

Dorgu played like a man possessed on the right last week and what does Amorim do? Go back to the same shit formation with Dorgu back on the left where he stunk. Some instances in the match just pissed me off no end. Like Dalot standing still and watching the ball roll into the net which the keeper saved, rather than actually chasing it down and putting the GK under pressure. Braindead.

Cunha just decided to push the self-sabotage pedal all the way to the metal today. Kept hold of the ball until Wolves players literally mounted him. Was throwing fits to get fouls called, and tbf, I think many of those were legitimate fouls, but if you have a ref that just allows the game to flow like that, you don't risk losing the ball when the pass is definitely on.

10 losses in a row for wolves and we hand them their first draw, at OT for them to reach their 3rd point this season. I don't care that half the starters are out. There is no game plan, no cohesion. Everytime we have the ball in the opp half, nobody does anything. Just pass it around and everyone else just waits. No tactics other than attempt the wing overlap and pray for a cutback to work, even if they have 11 on the box. No creativity. No desire, no passion, I'm so fucking pissed off man, this is embarrassing. January we are going to get absolutely exposed by a brutal schedule, we had to pick up these easy points now.

This is just not good enough. We can't throw away another season (and maybe spoil next season too) while paying millions to fund an inexperienced and underqualified coach's education in how to manage in the Premier League (generously assuming he can ever learn).

By all means, change the manager.

But what’s very clear is this squad isn’t going to have a significant overhaul anytime soon. And I’m sorry to say but this squad is capable of the odd cup like the FA Cup and that’s about it. They will never come close to winning a league title or even be in a title race. I’ve seen champions league United sides, three in a row title winning sides and this squad isn’t even at 10% of that level.

Any decent manager is going to want significant investment and that’s just not something I see the owners providing.

And yes, we can all talk about Amorim and this group of players. But guess who lost to bottom of the table Sheffield United a few years ago at home? There are other examples too. And this has been far too common for United since Fergie retired and it’s embarrassing.

Why are we getting briefings saying we don’t want Neves and he’s not long term? How is he not a good squad player option? Why have we gone from briefing that we’ll definitely do business in January to ‘we won’t be rushed’.

Why are we talking about new contracts for Casemiro and Luke Shaw? We can do and need to do better

As I said, I have no problem with the manager being criticised as he deserves it. But it would be nice if certain ex players who have a voice called out the players from time to time or the owners because they are also not blameless for this mess. If the players aren’t having anyone call them out, how can we expect them to feel the pressure to perform

This result is unironically worse than the Grimsby one. Failing to beat the worst team in Premier League history at home is shocking.

Definitely didn't finish on her vagina. Can't really remember, I was a bit of a fanny rat at the time. Slightly better now.

She's stompy but cute. Nice wavy hair, feminine dress and make up and very funny just a bit clunky in her walking but that might be more because she's Scottish. She's a stage actress and gets the "pretty girl" parts.

Ruben Amorim says Joshua Zirkzee substitution was 'tactical'. [Simon Stone]

Ruben Amorim looks ahead to second half of the season with ManUtd: "I am really confident we will be a strong team. We just need to recover all the players." On if anyone will be back for Leeds game: "I need to check. I am not going to risk anyone being out for a month." [Simon Stone]

Ruben Amorim "doesn't know" whether players will return to face Leeds. He added he doesn't want to take risks [Railston]

'Lack of connection'

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim speaking to Sky Sports:

"We struggled in all the game. We had a lack of creation but we already knew it would be a different game to Newcastle. We had a different energy during the game. Looking at the 90 minutes we had our chances but the fluidity offensively wasn't there. There is a lack of connections at the moment.

"Completely different game to the last one. We had more men behind the ball, when you have that you have to work harder to create more, have imagination and play the game in a different way. We lacked that today.

"They tried. We didn't play well. When you don't play well with the ball you struggle without it. We need to recover and go to the next one."

On bringing Joshua Zirkzee off: "We were running around trying to get hold of the ball. We were struggling with their midfielders, and sometimes you can attack better with less strikers. We played with three strikers and sometimes that's not the best thing to attack well.

"This game is over, you can not change the result of this one but you can move on and go to the next one."

'Quality was not there'

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim speaking to BBC MOTD: "Strange game. We knew it would be a different game to Newcastle. We needed more imagination today to create chances. We struggled in the first half trying to steal the ball. They put a lot of men in the midfield. We tried but the quality was not there. We need to recover to the next one."
