Isn't it kind of sad that literally all a team needs to be successful in modern sport is money? I know we've seen it before with the likes of Chelsea and City, but Wrexham's unrelenting upsurge is an even more damning indictment imo. All it takes is some Hollywood douche to buy a 2-bob team from anywhere in any country and they can quickly shoehorn them into the upper echelons of the sport. There's something tragic about that.
>>152764870>There's something tragic about that. What's tragic is no local rich fucks or local celebs doing the same for local clubs like gateshead or grimsby or whatever, instead spending their riches going to dubai and shit. You're just mad that it's a bunch of burger actors who's done it and it's not for >(You)r local small club. Of course money would make a club more successful in getting the ball rolling into making more money, there was never a secret. Of course money could buy you better facilities and investment and more player interest. There's nothing new here.
This team is easily the most egregious example of this
>>152764870It's not the money that made Wrexham successful, retard. It's the insanely overqualified leadership team they were able to bring to the club, which is partly because they are famous and have Disney connections (this mattered more than the money; they are piss poor compared to the big teams' owners) and partly because Wrexham has a long history as a team.
Anti Wrexham schizos crawling back out the woodwork Sad!
>>152765019>and partly because Wrexham has a long history as a team.you fell for hollywood propaganda. they don't have any more history than any other english (british) team
>>152765019>It's not the money, it's the stuff they were able to bring in because of the money
Celebs are cringe
>>152764890>What's tragic is no local rich fucks or local celebs doing the same for local clubs like gateshead or grimsby or whatever, instead spending their riches going to dubai and shit. This has happened at Hednesford Town, who have gone from being on the verge of liquidation altogether to having facilities like these in the SEVENTH TIER of English football: https://twitter.com/Hednesford_Town/status/2005005807968993663There was a Hednesfordanon on here a long time ago. He'll be so pleased seeing what the club's like now.
they seem to be pretty competent though. many owners have tried the same, only to make retarded managerial appointments or get bored after a couple of years and pulled the plug.
>>152765032>they don't have any more history than any other english (british) teamWhich is a lot more history than a team from practically anywhere else on the planet. The retarded OP is saying that the same thing could happen to Albuquerque FC. Try reading his post next time, worthless though it may be.

>>152765250That's pretty funny. Like using a money cheat on a management game and throwing it all at the flashy electronics before anything else.
>>152765279Why is this spic so angry. Go feed your donkey or something.
>>152765302>implying I know how to .webm>>152765365It's clearly working, they're top of the Northern Premier.
>>152765250They're getting attendances that would make them a high end national league club as well
Can't see the documentary and Disney money carrying on to showcase championship middle table performances
>>152765981They have a decent shot at a playoff position. Even if they only get that for the next couple of seasons it'll be enough to milk some drama out of it.
>>152764892RB Leipzig are worse in my opinionVfL Wolfsburg are also terrible. You can argue Hoffenheim has some degree of „soul“ because it is a village club rising through the ranks with the help of a local, as opposed to a corporation having a lapdog clubObviously, Hoffenheim should fuck off and be in the 4th tier at best
>>152766122What about Bayer?
>>152765265Yeah didn’t QPR do this with multiple billionaire owners, and they were just trying to take the team into the Prem from the championship - took them 5 years and tons of turnover
>>152766196In my opinion, they don’t belong in the Bundesliga, and I wouldn’t put them in my ideal 2nd Bundesliga either. But: they are the most soulful a plastic club can get, they were founded in 1904 as a recreational team for Bayer workers and stayed that way until the 70s. The club is arguably able to support itself without Bayer and has strong local support (in Leverkusen), which is something you can’t say about the othersBayer gives Leverkusen like 20 million per year, apparently. That’s a big advantage and ensures they are a top club. But now look at Wolfsburg - they get 80 million from VW and are much worse, not worth the investment at allIdeally, these ties to owners would all be severed and they would have to prove themselves for real. Leverkusen might survive anyway, the others would be fucked. So Leverkusen deserves a bit more respect than the rest at least
>>152764890Please, Sting, Ant n Dec, anyone, save Blyth Spartans!
>>152764870This happened in the USA with the Colorado Buffaloes.Colorado was a nothing team for years until Deon become the head coach and replaced the entire roster immediately with new players paid with NIL money. Also see- Los Angeles Dodgers payroll vs the rest of the league. It's all $$$
