And then you have at least one of the soulless quartet Leipzig, Leverkusen, Hoffenheim, and Wolfsburg occupying an international spot after that, usually at least two and regularly three. It’s objectively shitty. Yeah, my priority is my own club and that dictates most of the fun I have. But it’s still not very enjoyable in general. It can be better in many ways - so much that it would even be worth the price of having some more bandwagoners run around. Clubs making more money and (probably) being more competitive internationally would be a mere side effect
