NIL and its consequences have been a disaster for college sports
Nothing about the current NIL/transfer portal system feels remotely sustainable. Either be professional sports or don't be. Some Wild Wild West mix where everyone's overpaying, regretting, cutting the guy loose, and then overpaying the next scrub is retarded. There needs to be framework, buyouts, guaranteed contracts, etc.I also think the non-future pros playing this system will lose bigly in the long run.
