I don't watch NBA. How did they make the finals last year to being a complete laughing stock this year?
They lost two of their key players from the previous year, one to an Achilles injury and the other as a trade; Tyrese Halliburton and Myles Turner respectively.
>>152852462Nobody explain it to him. Let him do the most basic of research.
>>152852479who trades their best player after reaching the finals?>>152852548someone already did, faggot.
>>152852462some teams improve some teams regress ya fucking pinhead
>>152852572>someone already did, faggot. He actually didn't. There are other factors.
>>152852580nobody goes from the best team to a 6-30 record the next year.
>>152852462>>152852572>>152852594>>152852580>>152852548The pacers have always been about cash flow for herb simon. he never wanted a championship, he just needed them to be profitable.
>>152852572Turner (wasn't traded, just left) wasn't the best player, it's Haliburton. NBA teams are more dependent on their star players but you'd at least expect them to be in play-ins. And they're not a laughing stock because they still have a good core and they'll get Haliburton back+top 5 pick next year, which is better than inevitable first round exit or worse if they were decent.
>>152852462They lost their best players.
>>152853964>making the finals isn't profitable with the extra home games during a deep playoff run
>>1528524625 guys on the court you lose your star it's partially over, you lose two stars and you might as well start getting ready for the lottery
>>152852462Star center signed with another team, star Point Guard tore his Achilles, hell even a few key role players are limping. When there's only 5 guys on the court, losing a few key players hits harder.
>>152852617they weren't the best team
>>152859600making the finals means you were a top 2 team.
>>152852462>I don't watch NBAjust like the rest of us
>>152852462First round-exit level team carried all the way to the finals by a guy going godmode that if they won it all would've probably been considered the greatest postseason for a player ever. But then his leg fell off and they didn't put up any semblance of a fight after that, and he still hasn't glued it back on yet this year
>>152852462i like any team that hasn't changed their logo into this weird new shit. so i appreciate them. please stay the same paceersi mean, its not even nostalgiaits just the consistency that i like knicks, lakers, pacers, who else
Reminder that HaliGOD would've belted the Oklachomo Blunder if he didn't get acked
