Non US anons, do you actually care about American football?
>>152912620No, but its better to watch than nothing
>>152912633What's the big sport over there, futbol?
Not in the slightest, but I always like seeing that one bear photo getting spammed on /sp/ every now and there because I genuinely can't tell if 'da burrs' are genuinely good or if it's just an excuse to post animal pics. Some other memes like D'Jarius Sneed and 'I really really like men' are fun, but I've tried to watch a few games but it's just an unbearably over hyped sport and it's tedious when they try to market it towards us.
>>152912755wow great guess anon. I never would have thought so
i do, tho not dumb enough to bet on it cos its rigged asf. its genuinely a great game and i love watching it more than the type of football i grew up watching
playoffs not the same without mahomie
>>152915454AFL is based but the people who post in /afl/ are some of the most cringe people on the internet
>>152915596right, they're actually watchable
I like to watch it but the average person here couldnt name a single player outside of Taylor Swifta boyfriend
>>152912620Yes.
>>152912620No
>>152912620I hope they don't and continue to be independent
Our league's kind of going to shit so instead of pretending to only care about the CFL I also now pretend to care about the NFL a little bit
>>152916025Most of them aren't even independent and play a br*tish sport
>>152912620objectively the better sport now that the Arab shitters ruined footy forever
>>152915825I love watching Mexican universities play American football. Very creative offenses with cool coaching. Can't wait to see some US school hire a Mexican coach.
>>152912620Some retarded Kiwi is down bad gay for several mediocre QBsI'd rather them not desu
Lol no
>>152915621They're unwell
>>152912620I just watch the Superbowl
>>152912620>>152915454this
>>152912620only the superb owl
>>152912620Lol
>careNo>Watch itI really like RedZone format which I watch every Sunday on second monitor and I watch individual games highlights on the NFL YouTube. Just finished Packers - Bears. I find a full game unbearable though with all the ads and overal slow pacing. Only the actual Superbowl I will watch entirely
>>152912620I could not name you one player who im confident still plays or what teams are good this year.Your sport is as relevant as cricket.
>>152918657Cricket is also a shit sport, but it's magnitudes more relevant than fategg.
I like it as a novelty, but I'm never going to enjoy it enough to watch it so often that I know what's going on. I understand the rules (mostly) but I've only heard of a handful of current players and I don't understand all the conferences and who plays whom and when.I like that it's on TV over here a lot more now, so I can watch it if I feel like it, but I still usually don't bother.
>>152912620I am Indian I only care about cricket and ehite woman
>>152913420The bears were good in the long past and are sorta good now, but that meme is mostly based on a saturday night live skit. Football is primarily boring because they deliberately slow down play so they can show ads on tv, it's only fun to watch during the last 2-10 minutes of each half when they run out of mandatory advert time.
>>152912620No, I watch the super bowl tho
>>152912620after baseball it's the best sport there is
>>152912620Of course I do, I am American after all
>>152915454I unironically would love to bet on the jags but I know they are rigging it for allen
>>152919537Basé
>>152912620I don't care but I enjoy watching it from time to time. The play-offs are always a good excuse to get drunk with the lads and munch some junk food.
I imagine those that do watch it watch it mostly as something to have one when nothing they really want to watch is on. Much like me with Soccer. I like to watch it now and then but I don't really follow it enough to know anyone but Messi and Rinaldo.
I do wonder why the NFL trying to expand into the UK and Europe seems to fail. Is the game too slow with too much starting and stopping or is it just too late to the party?Having a game there once in awhile seems to work but any lasting presence always seems to fail.
I used to watch the superbowl and went to bed when the halftime show started, but then I got a job so now I just can't stay up for it anymore
>>152919901The infrastructure is missing, no pro teams, almost no youth development and no actual perspective. The few youth talents we got head to the US in High School age, some make it into US college teams and a very few might actually end up in the NFL. Anything else goes to waste or ends up playing in the euro league while working as part time dentist or so.
I would watch it more if only the match times weren't so late for me, but also I watch too much sport as it is anyway - difficult for me to fit everything in. I still keep track of who the favourites are for the owl in a given season by lurking here. What really helped me understand the appeal of gridiron was playing Tecmo Super Bowl on a NES emulator. Slowly driving the ball forward methodically, the hero worship aspect of the sport, and the tactical elements are all quite unique.
>>152912620Not even remotely.
Amerifat living in the UK here. It's surprisingly popular here, but nowhere near as big as soccer or rugby. There's usually a couple pubs around me that will play games on sunday and theres a handful of fans who are there every week. I even went to the Browns/Vikings game in London and while it was mostly either American expats like me or people traveling from the states, a good 40-50% were legit UK fans. I'd probably say NFL is as popular in the UK as NHL is in the US. I.e, it's niche but has a pretty dedicated fanbase.
Yes, I watch a lot of sports and the NFL is definitely one of my favorites if not the #1. I've been watching the entire NFL season for years. There are definitely some annoying aspects just like most sports though:- The gorillion commercials are fucking insufferable and actively prevent the sport from being successful worldwide. I miss action every game because I tune out during commercials. Redzone was great but it's slowly turning into the same ad slop. Games are also too long with the ads baked in- Some rules, especially holding and PI calls, feel retardedly subjective and convoluted- The timing of primetime games makes them virtually impossible to watch in Europe, and that's with me being a degenerate who lives with no sleep, let alone a normie waking up at 6 AM
>>152912620>Handegg.
>>152912620I kinda do, it's a fun sport to watch, despite all the ads
>>152912620no
I'm so great
I like the strategic component. Sports with ball where everyone is playing all the time without stops (football, basketball, hockey) are for dumbs. >>152921386>despite all the adsI just watch 2 to 4 games at once. Ads not even exist at the same time.
>>152919862Exactly. Last night there was nothing else on tv so I watched da burrs.
I'm so fucking great I'm better than you
>>152912620I want nothing to do with that sport personally, and I think it should stay the fuck away from my country. We have other sports we should care more aboutBut I recognize that Americans usually love it, and that is their good right. For me, it's only good as a highlight video. But I dislike too many things it stands for
