We came into this game playing some of our best hockey of the year yet looked much more like the bottom feeding teams from the previous two years.Yet another poor start with Vegas controlling the large majority of the 1st leading to us chasing early and for what would be the entirety of the game.When the game was close we commit a completely avoidable turnover that leads to the 3rd goal.All game long Vegas has all the time they need as we’re puck watching and applying very little pressure which is exemplified on the PK as everyone was mesmerized watching Eichel stick leading to chance after chance and 2 PP goals against.Vegas played St. Louis at home last night and decided to start the current number 1 goalie while Hill is out while choosing to Lindbom against us. We hardly tested an AHL prospect goalie who’s now got 2 wins in his 8 game NHL career, both of those against the Sharks.In a home ice division game that means a lot standings wise, you would hope we would see some compete. Instead it’s another lopsided loss being outsiders 14-3 in the last two games and ultimately just more of what we’ve seen for almost a decade now. This is the 4th time Vegas has swept the season series against us in their 9 year history which includes an 8-0 record in the 2020-21 season.They’ve got 3 days to sit on this and respond better in the next few games like they did after the last blowout against Vegas.
