are they the worst team on professional sports history?
Seasons: 106 (1920 to 2025)
Record (W-L-T): 596-826-41
Playoff Record: 7-10
Championships Won: 2
only 28 winning seasons
how can a team this only be this bad

At least in American big leagues. Even my Mariners aren't that sad, mostly by virtue of not being 105 years old. It's the age and consistency of the Cards failure that's most impressive.

it honestly is impressive how constantly bad they are.
>>
even if they suck as pros, being the only two sport team is impressive

St Kilda
>Founded: 1873
>Seasons played: 141
>Record (1897-present): P 2527 - W 993 - D 27 - L 1507
>Finals seasons: 28
>Wooden spoons: 27
>Premierships: 1

For most of their history, they played in a 12 team league with no relegation and where half made the finals while the last 45 have been with a draft and salary cap, still with half making the finals but the league is now at 18 teams. 27 last place finishes is by far the most of any club. Their current premiership drought is 59 years, by far the longest in the league and unlikely to end any time soon.

>When Darrel Baldock held the Victorian Football League premiership cup aloft at the Melbourne Cricket Ground late on the afternoon of 24 September 1966 it represented the culmination of almost a century's worth of effort, dedication, determination and despair - mostly despair. For if the history of the St Kilda Football Club is illustrative of anything it is the fact that triumphant achievement in sport represents only a part - and as often as not a very small part - of the whole story. St Kilda's dramatic one-point win over Collingwood in 1966 stands out like a beacon over a dour and gloomy terrain, and yet, in spite of repeated lack of success, the club today remains a key player on the national stage.

They were actually good for a few years. Made the superb owl with Warner and had some 13-3 seasons with carrot top. The nfcw was always rotating the top dog. Some franchises never been to the owl.
