Is this the most SOVLful stadium in the world?
Where's the other half?
>>153051126Pawned it to repay IMF debnts
>>153051105You can only make a list of contenders at best. But it's definitely on that list at least
>>153051105do the shanty shacks around it make it soulful?
>>153051105This is just Wrigley Field if they put it in the ghetto
>>153051105never understood the appeal of this stadium. it literally looks like they ran out of money halfway through building it
>>153051105No wood or stone, no soul.
It’s literally Betis’ stadium with a missing half
>>153051105>A FUCKING D
>>153051105You can never fully separate a stadium from its fan scenes, judging the stadiums alone is impossibleThe building itself is obviously unique, but the atmosphere is mostly the product of the fan culture. It's a special place for sure. It might have weirdly good acoustics because of the way it is built, even though it has no roofWhen talking about the most iconic stadiums, it is at least in the conversation. You can't choose the one best stadium anyway, way too subjective
>>153051105No, that title belongs to my Husky Stadium.
>>153051288It's a stadium that's entirely within the specific community it represents within a city. The team isn't called Buenos Aires FC, it's Boca, and that's as much space as the club could expand into while remaining inside the community.I'm trying my best to explain this because in the US, most NFL teams represent an entire city, but in BA the city has several dozen professional football teams and only so much space for their clubs to build a stadium without leaving their tight-knit communities. La Bombonera is fantastically huge considering the limitations.
>>153051105Looks like they ran out of space to build.
>>153051105wtf
>>153052754They did - that "stand" on the left is no more than about eight or nine feet between pitch and the street.
>>153051105if the crowd is a factor then death valley is my nomination. everyone is blackout drunk and on psychedelics, Michelin star-tier food made by coonasses at the tailgates, perfectly cooled down 75 degree nights in the fall.
I would say its between Michigan Stadium, the dodgers stadium, MetLife, La Bombera, Mexico's Df Stadium and of course River Plate's stadium
>>153052862absolute insanity that universities in america spend money on this bullshit and not their actual infrastructure, classes, student, etc america really is the great satan
>>153053745delete this. now.
>>153053578>MetLife>soulfulPlease fucking be bait.
>>153053651The football team makes the school the money to build the buildings. Just look at Miami
>>153053578>the dodgers stadium,The most soulless piece of shit stadium in pro baseball that should have been torn down already. It's an absolute shithole dump full of tourists and low class trash. Tickets are $200 for shit seats and you can't even walk around the entire stadium like every other stadium in the majors
PNC Park in Pittsburgh, it's a shame the team is forever dogshit
>>153051105Argentinian Fenway Park
>>153057131the vast majority of American college sports programs lose money, requiring subsidies from the university or student fees to cover expenses, with only a small fraction of schools turning a profit
>>153053790kek
>>153051267Wrigley is in a gay neighborhood. There are tons of gay bars, sex shops, even a large bathhouse (orgy place for homos) all right next to the stadium. Trust me I know. I got off 1 station too early and walked through all of Boystown.
>>153057131university's athletic departments and academic departments are separate from each other. it is the wealthy elite who donate to the schools to have their name put on the buildings that are funding the academic side.
>>153051105kinda cool. what's on the side that's just white?
>>153051105if i wanted to see 22 mexicans fight i'd throw an avocado out my window
