I think most likely Freddie is retiring when his current contract with the Dodgers is over, the only thing that I think will make him play for one or two more years afterwards will be how close he is to 3000 hits. If he's less than 200 away, he'll stay, but more he's not going to go for it. The same is true for Altuve to a lesser extent since he's a bit further away than Freddie but has more years contracted. I think between the two, Altuve is more likely to be a 3000 hit player. Both absolutely would've made it with a full 2020 season though which is the sad part
