More even money distribution would have worked years ago, but they are in too deep now, they have to pour all money they have into Real Madrid and Barcelona to keep them competative on the European stage. There was a time when La Liga had a product they could sell to a wide market, but they didn't capitalize on it and the momentum is gone.
